I'm not trying to be confrontational, I admire and commend Boom for giving tips out to help players. It's just that the putting tip just doesn't sit right with me.

As said - perfect example of why grids should be kept turned off. Aids can always be exploited.

If it's any consolation to Rob and smurf, as a cc-a player my putting was so so, and getting better....ever since I've tried boom's putting 'glitch' I can only describe the results, as utter gash.
If that ain't scientific enough proof. Then I don't know what is.

Not to hijack this thread, but Digs, I'll give you a tip in all seriousness, with putting, speed to me is most important, second, learn from your misses, that's how I have evolved with my putting, and I consider it one of my strengths.

Turning off aids is one thing, having no idea what the wind is doing is just dumb. Change that and I will play.

Just my .02 cents, the putting tip is so awkward, I haven't tried it and don't plan on it, but this too me, is kinda like cheating the game. I mean who looks the opposite way to find the break for the other side. If this works consistently, and I'm guessing it does, it's just ridiculous. I haven't read the tip at all, but reading from the opposite direction is common for TST play. If you watch pro golfers, some look from behind the hole on their putts. Again, this is a comment not reading what the tip is.

I have no idea how to make a practice green. Very confusing.

jsizzle....
go into the designer.... lay down a hole however big you want it to be... Grab the circle brush and enlarge it Huge.... that way whenever you lay out and hit all your clubs they land on green only and you can get your distances that way... I created a par four hole, made the green enormous, no matter what club I hit it always found and stayed on green Then click on practice hole, the rewind the shot as many times as you want...

Its not looking at the putt from behind the cup, its looking at the green grids as an exploit, thats all, i just said i didnt like it, not trying to rock the boat, just found it interesting, and thought id comment.
