not hijacking buddy. just figured I'd share another method too. Not at all, totally appreciate the input. I am by no means an expert and it helps illustrate the fact there there are multiple ways to get things done. That photo is a great example of how to transition from wall to land, something I was struggling to explain .

Thanks guys, watched the video earlier Toni and that's pretty much how I make mine. Only thing I'm not keen on with that is somehow the ball acts as if its hit concrete if it clips that fake rough. Never thought of the 3 layered wall so thanks Reeb.
I'll shoot you a few pics of my course on PS4 later Toni so you can see what I've been up to with planting.

I'd like a tutorial on how to make good-looking coastlines.

Just found this thread and will definitely be checking out your past streams, if they're archived or on YouTube. Not sure if you've covered this yet, but I'd be interested in your initial course layout method (how you start a new course), and your process for each hole, i.e. how you work on each hole from start to finish.
I am a complete noob, working on my first course (actually second, as my first was half auto-gen and I was editing when I found Canuck's videos and gave that one up as hopeless--thankfully unpublished). My method on the current course was to auto-gen some trees and water, then let the land dictate where the holes go, making sure the 9th and 18th greens and 1st and 10th tees are near the clubhouse. It's actually working fairly well so far, but I'm always interested in learning other methods.
Glad you're doing this and looking forward to watching!

Hi Bacon, Just starting to get back into it after a forced hiatus. I can definitely do a stream on my process in the next week or so. I'll post up a link when it's done. Thanks! my past vids are all on YouTube: www.youtube.com/channel/UCvQh_u7MWMmaW47a61q-1yw

Hi Bacon, Just starting to get back into it after a forced hiatus. I can definitely do a stream on my process in the next week or so. I'll post up a link when it's done. Thanks! my past vids are all on YouTube: www.youtube.com/channel/UCvQh_u7MWMmaW47a61q-1ywAwesome! I watched the first 15 or 20 minutes of your "The Green Stream" video on YouTube before work this morning. Went to Twitch first, but I didn't see any about the GNCD. I think you're answering my second question (the order you work on one hole) in that video, but I will gladly watch all the videos you're willing to make. You probably don't appreciate just how helpful these videos are to someone just learning the GNCD, but I can't thank you enough. (I spent about 10 hours in the GNCD trying to make my creek, before finally stumbling on a technique that actually works lol.)
Rob and jkessler, I highly recommend that video, as it may be what you're looking for. Todd Driver also has a very good video about green sculpting, but I can't find the link for the life of me.
