Well boys...it's looking like I could earn my permanent A card..so I'll kick it off here
I work 11pm-7am through the week...so come the weekend..you guessed it...sleep is not easy. I'm usually 1st outa the gate in these tournaments..good or bad..I play 'em with usually no ghosts to work from. Disadvantage me...advantage everyone else.
Ok...so your worst nightmare won't hit until round 3...yep..you guessed it...high winds on the toughest pin. I could only scrape out a 71
Good Luck
These scores are the best total I've posted on this course over 4 rounds...so I'm happy
Not too happy because I think it could earn me my 1st strike in my 1st week in CC-A
62-65-71-65
-25 total
go get 'em boys!!

Well I have been struggling all week on this course but today I played very well for me and ended up with:
-8 -5 -3 -7
for a total of -23, I'm delighted with that score!
Pin 3 was very tough I have to say but I enjoyed the challenge.

CC-A is tough.. If you don't bring that CC-A game, you get a strike.. I found that out this week.. Great scoring Jim.. You are really catching fire in this game..

There was definitely more there on this course...but it didn't play well for me at all...couple that with ongoing problems with my PC that sees my FPS sometimes drop to below 20..and it's a struggle just to stay afloat. I really think the lag and FPS drops cost me anywhere from 5-7 strokes per tournament minimum. Just can't afford an upgrade right now so I have to endure it.

Well, I'm 99% sure I've earned my B card. And kind of on the bubble for exemption into A. So hope I'm not jumping the gun here by posting in here, couple others to finish up that can take me out of exemption status. This post may self destruct and disappear if I don't make exemption so as not to pollute the A thread where I don't belong lol.
For the record Jim I don't use ghosts lol, hardly even in casual play anymore. Just go out and play my game. Funny enough, I have myself trained to look down in between holes as I dont look at the leader board until the end. It's become such a routine that today I looked down as I was taking my shot lol...got lucky on two occasions doing this lol.
Have to say I came away satisfied. I reached my goal of -25 and then some. Another goal was no bogies in a tournament, blew that all to hell with 2 on pin 3. My personal best out of all my practice tournaments as well. Moving month has been a ride for me for sure, never expected to be up this far in the tiers coming up from D. Stress filled month watching the leader boards and practicing over and over and going out and playing some decent golf.
so.
Round 1 63 -9 (no bogies) Round 2 64 -8 (no bogies) Round 3 66 -6 (2 bogies) Round 4 62 -10 (no bogies)
-33
I'm just glad this tournament is over, was a bit of a nail biter all the way through and I'm actually sweating from it. lol

-33I'm just glad this tournament is over, was a bit of a nail biter all the way through and I'm actually sweating from it. lol Well, as I watch you and Jim ride off into the sunset leaving me in the dust, I will definitely get my D card this week and have an excellent shot at an exemption into C for this wonderful course (sarcasm) that really gives me fits on day 3. That is going to be the deciding factor as to whether or not I earn my C card next week. I'm not holding my breath on that way. Besides, I probably need to be in D for a while just to make sure I can compete here. Then I'll think about moving up further. I'll tell you one thing, testing these murderous courses as a Ranger is really keeping me at the top of my game. I don't want to embarrass myself out there with a 12 over or something like that. Some of those fairways. Sheesh. They're like sidewalk narrow. My worst so far is 7 over which I don't think is too bad for some of these beasts. Anyway, this coming week should be very interesting between Hiawassee and Rangering.

Not liking my chances of avoiding a strike after seeing some of these early scores. I gotta get my rig upgraded. I think I'll be sitting out until I do...don't want all my hard work to just get washed away because of computer issues.

I'm running a 3570k oc to 4.4ghz and a gtx 670 gtx and I have no issues so the requirements aren't to bad.

I would say your video card is hurting you the most. That CPU should still be pretty solid as is. Depending on the video card, your power supply is most likely an issue, though.
The recommended specs on the Steam store page show an AMD 7850 or nVidia 660. The Passmark G3D score for that 660 is 4,121 and your GT 730 clocks in at a score of 923. The numbering systems of video cards can really be deceiving as your 730 may seem better than a 660 just by looking at the numbers.
I haven't looked lately, but you should be able to get a decent card in the $150 range that would meet those specs (not sure on the P.S. though).
