Well, I'm playing on a Sponsor card, or Substitution card, or whatever you call the damn thing. Believe me, it wasn't my idea. They just gave it too me. If it was up to me I would have told them to forget it (or something else....snicker, snicker). I am way out of my skill level here. It's like I'm a little leaguer and Sandy Koufax is pitching. Even though I've chewed enough low-dose aspirin to burn a hole in my stomach lining, my blood pressure is still pounding as high as Mount Everest. I don't see how the CC-A guys handle the pressure. Have they made a pact with Lucifer or something? Future member of the CC-A ClubI know that some of you will say "Hey Harry, why do you just play shitty and lose the card" or "Hey Harry, why don't you just skip the tournament and get your ass slapped back down to CC-B". Well, those are good points, but I have always lived by my grandfather's motto. He was a card cheat and played many of a hand in poker. He always told me "Whether you're playing on the straight, or bending the odds in your favor, always play the best, cause you never know if the other guy has a gun". Now, I don't have a clue as to what my grandfather was trying to say, and he did drink a lot (hell, so do I), but ever since he told me his motto, I have never thrown a game purposely (at least not yet). So I play the course and accept my long drawn out fate. They should have a course forfeit or course suicide option that you could press that would take your golfer immediately out of the action during course play, kind of like him stopping just before hitting out of the sand trap, screeching that the stress is too much and his wife is leaving him as well, and then show him running to the clubhouse like a rabid squirrel. Actually, TGC Tours should have a CC Triple Z card, a card design for shitty players such as myself. Then I might win a tournament once every 25 years. Even though it may be an hollow victory, I would still take it. Hey, chocolate Easter bunnies are hollow, and people eat tons of them, so hollow isn't that bad at all. Yeah, make a CC Triple Z card, and I'll be head honcho there. I'll be the king there and reign down on my fellow crappy golfing subjects, showing them the hell that I have in my eyes. I can just see it now. "King Harry," says a shitty Triple Z golfer. "I just got a birdie on Hole #6!" "What?" I would cry out. "This is my Triple Z Kingdom! How dare you insult me by shooting a birdie! It bogeys and double bogeys here. Off with your head!" Yeah, the CC Triple Z card club would be totally cool. I've already come of with a design for the card! Feel the Bunker, Embrace the Bogey Hey, I may not know where I'm going, but I know where I don't belong.

Well... Round 3 absolutely destroyed me. No other way to describe it. The couple practice rounds I played on Pin 3 were anywhere from -2 to -7. Go to play the tourney round and find myself +4 thru 5. Alright, don't panic, can come back from this. It seemed like every time I would birdie, I would be faced with an 8'-10' par putt on the next hole and miss it. Finished with a 73 (+1) after lipping a short birdie putt on 18. I had 5 bogeys and a double bogey IIRC.
All in all, I don't mind rounds like that. It's good to be knocked down every once in a while. Good to play a tourney where -50 won't even be sniffed. (....I think...hope)
Any who, I rushed to finish my last round shortly after finishing my 3rd due to time constraints. 69 (-3). Ha! Just really inexcusable. I had a handful of drives that sliced?! for some reason. Haven't done that since when I first started the game. Didn't get many putts to drop either, obviously. Oh well. Definitely the worst back to back rounds I have played yet. Casual or tournament.
RD 1: 65 (-7) RD 2: 60 (-12) RD 3: 73 (+1) RD 4: 69 (-3)
(-21) Total.
I don't know if it's low enough to earn me my CC-A card. Frankly, I don't think I deserve it after that showing.

I'm appealing to the most expert stat analyzer here (like @wagtunes and ABU_Bear ): my friend Massimiliano is sitting on a 25 under scorecard for the tourney - I've scouted the scores this morning both on PC and PS4 ( ) and figured that probably -25 won't be enough for snagging an exemption to WEB (like borderline not enough). He played shitty (turned based with me so I witnessed that) so he probably doesn't even deserve it but it'd be the last chance for him since I don't think he'll be capable of a TOP 5 anytime soon (or ever?) My question is: do you guys think -25 would be enough for an exemption this week??

That would be great since it's been two consecutive weeks that he misses WEB exemptions by 1/2 strokes

Thought I'd be hovering at the demotion strike line..not the exempt line

I've been wrong before though Jim, I may be earning my C card this week according to my calculations thanks to my 4th round which hasn't been posted yet. I finished 10 under and that looks like it's going to be the line. It is going to be very, very close. So, if you make it, you're in web next week?

Yep..if I make that cut line of -25(I'll blame your prediction if I don't) I will be in Web next week on a bus pass. And if I make Web it'll be CC-Z to Web in 5 months. Even if I have to self nominate...I'm pushing for CC POTY honors dammit

Guys I'm rooting for you as for my friend Massimiliano on those exemptions/card holdings In my humble opinion next week will be tough but kinda manageable for earning a WEB card. I've tried the course along with my buddy on PS4 this afternoon (Thursday pins) and apart of some tricky greens (like if you stay up or left/right from the flag you're basically screwed) I didn't find it difficult. We carded -13 and -9 at the very first try on 3 to 8MPH winds. Plus I've scouted the settings and there's no firm greens in the 4 rounds. The problem is that among webbers that -13 could be very common and the cut line, if winds don't show up, could be dangerously low

Personally I think -25 will miss the exemption line by a stroke (guess who else is sitting at -25 lol). I also think -35 will win it. I just wonder what might have been without my 9 bogeys and 1 double bogey. Hopefully I'll still achieve my target of permanent A card

Got the 1st round in despite fighting with the analog stick wanting to hit 80-90%. That can be a real gamebreaker at times but despite that I mustered a 68. I'll probably get a couple more rounds in tonight. Xbox controller is only a month old and already acting up. When that starts happening to me, I pull the stick out, you'll hear a pop and then push it back in. Fixes it every time Wow....I did not know that....I'll certainly give it a try....My 4 rounds this week were horrible. I should drop down to CC-C next week....thanks for the advice!!
