Just finished the second round. This is definitely the toughest course I've played thus far in CC (8 total tournaments). Rd 1: 65 (-7) - Missed a few birdies inside 10 feet. Hate to admit it, but I really had to grind for that 65. Rd 2: 60 (-12) - Winds were more favorable, which led to shorter birdie attempts. Made at least two curling putts of distance (15'+). Also, missed a few shorter ones. Happy with the score though. I've been fairly fortunate on the greens so far. I hope that continues as I take on the redheaded step child that is pin 3. Wish me luck Seeing as you're 2nd round leader, and in exemption to A like myself, I hope (in the best possible way of course) that you don't do TOO well in rounds 3&4. I'm 5 shots behind after round 2 and need to stay within 10 of you! Having finished my rounds there's nothing I can do but sit and wait. Good luck though pal Speak peek : I go on to bogey hole #1 of round 3
I don't foresee myself going low in Round 3. It's a challenging set up with high winds. I would like at least (-10) in Round 4 though. From what I've seen, the best score by an exempt player so far is -25 by ABU_Bear . Could definitely be wrong though.

Yep, I started round 3 bogey, bogey and after dropping 4 shots on the back 9 of round 2, that was it for me. I walked off the course in a huff and went back to it the following day. Round 3 is definitely hard going but it can be done. Round 4 is easier but I just couldn't get enough putts to drop for me, should've easily been in the 50's.

My apologies. Congratulations on the Card. Also, might I add that for mostly all of the practice tours/practice rounds/tournament rounds I've played since rejoining TGCT, I've used your ball as a ghost. Not sure how it started, but it sort of became habit to select you as a ghost. Plus, your scores were low enough to learn a thing or two from. So, I suppose you are owed a "Thank you!"
Any who, looking at where I currently sit after two rounds, I expect to obtain my CC-A card this week. Nothing is set in stone though, still have to go out there and play.
TimB Sitting at -33. Nice shooting. I would think that will be good enough for an exemption to web. Woo woo!

Just think...if you had picked another ghost you could have got up here quicker

Thanks. I'm starting to realize I have a slim chance of exemption to Web. Not sure I'm ready for it psychologically but would rather try it than play next weeks in CC where -35 is going to be needed just to avoid a strike in A. lol TimB Sitting at -33. Nice shooting. I would think that will be good enough for an exemption to web. Woo woo!

Not saying we're still not gonna have to be at our best, but there just might be a better chance at being competitive up here now that some of the elite have moved on to the Web Tour. We're next TimB

I definitely think you'll get a crack at web next week Tim, I only know of 1 score so far that beats your -33.

Pretty windy out there guys. Hold onto your hats 63-67-64-59 -35 Goodbye strikes (hopefully) This could be a winner mate! At least very close perhaps? I ghosted you and felt I played fairly well, only managed -25. My third round wasn't good enough. That -35 could be the winning score. It is currently the leading XB1 CC score. Well played in the last two rounds. I ghosted you too. I ended up -33 (-5,-13,-5,-10). I had a one stroke lead coming into the last round. I kept it for the first 5 holes but couldn't keep up with you through the turn. I closed the gap towards the end but too little too late.

I have to admit I totally under estimated the impact of moving month. At 1'st I had a few goals, Make B class during February then claw my way up to A and eventually Web by summer. Never once did it occur to me that I may be on exemption into Web so soon, or ever. lol. That win in D in the Johnny Drama or whatever it was kind of spring boarded me, and gave me a boost of confidence. Along with a total change to my gameplay and mindset. EG: I never play with ghosts anymore, even during casual rounds except a few times when just farting around. I never look at leader boards either, especially during tournaments. In the past I would get too caught up in worrying about what the ghosts where doing "oh figures, he makes the 20 foot putt and I lip out a five footer" Which would cause me to feel like I have to race to catch up. Now I just go out by myself play one hole at a time and play to my strengths and take it slow. And I'm sure you will be up in A too. It's funny to see the dynamic of the tiers change. We are all moving in and taking over A, and the newer guys are all moving into our old homes. You two lads have certainly made great strides in moving month. Hopefully I'll get to keep my A card this time around and hold my own for a few weeks. I definitely think you'll get a crack at web next week Tim, I only know of 1 score so far that beats your -33.

I really feel alone in CC-B at the moment... I have to make a good 4th round and see what happens; I saved myself in the 3rd round (67, 5 under par) but I know that the real difference will be my score in the 4th round !!!

Nice shooting, guys. I did quite a bit better than my practice rounds, but am pretty sure I will be back down in B next week. At least I got from D to B during moving month . I had a nice round going in round 3 on the front nine, for me (-2), but made a few too many mistakes on the back nine and ended with a 73, which puts me at -12 thru 3 rounds. I will play my 4th soon. Unfortunately, I had my first issues with my mouse ever with 90% power and even one at 68%. I am not sure what I was doing, but I seem to have corrected it. The second round had a few crazy shots. I believe I came close to more than one eagle on a chip out, hole in one, and did manage to chip in for eagle on 18.

Good luck Andrew, your comment about 68% swing just reminded me of one of my shots in this tournament. I was doing a practise swing for pitch over the bunker, did my backswing and as I was bringing the stick back down to rest, my thumb slipped off, and I can still hear my slow motion shout "NOOOOOOO" as the club connected with the ball and plonked it into the bunker lol
