So, I`ll cut the chase.
Putting = Rubbish Undertstanding of Putting = NONE
Are there any coaching you tube videos out there to help improve my game?
Or
from what I`m reading is it a case of practice, practice, practice until you get "The Feel"

I'm not a good putter at all. Read any of the threads and I'm usually asking questions....then whining about it....then complaining....then talking about quitting....it is pretty embarrassing.
Most of it is feel as you state. Takes some longer than others. A couple of things really helped me in the beginning:
1. I stopped trying to make putts and just get them stopping near the hole. I obviously didn't score well compared to the tour I was in, but it helped me start to understand a bit better what a 30, 20, 10, 5 foot putt stroke was like. 2. When you are putting, the number above the putter in the top right is the speed of the green. The higher the faster. I don't know the limits, but 187 is fast greens and 144 slow. It might have more variance than that, but knowing the speed of the green is a key. 3. I tried to read the green grid by grid, starting from the hole and working back to my ball. I almost never putt now without taking a look at each grid, zooming in a bit, and walking it back to my ball.
Like I said, I really suck at putting. I've made significant progress at times but am stuck right now in a real funk with it. But if you are starting out, maybe those tips will help you start to dial in what is comfortable for you.

Have you caught up with Doyleys tips and tricks yet? There is a wealth of info there and a section on putting if I remember correctly. In the words of the immortal Molly Meldrum "Do yourself a favour!"

187 is fast greens and 144 slow. The range of green speeds is from 101 to 187 max putter distance. While 144 might be slower than average putting speed found on courses used by TGCTours, it's smack dab in the middle of the range. The speed of the green has a tangible impact on putting - and not just whether you leave your putt short or run it way past.

I don't know if I ever played a course with less than 144.

Not to be argumentative, but I think putting is the most realistic part of the game.

Probably because the putting motion can be most closely imitated by one thumbstick. A golf swing involves coordinated movements of several parts which, by nature, is wildly inconsistent.

I still think the hole is too forgiving (on putts and chips). One way to make scores more realistic is to tighten the hole a bit. Too many fast or strong putts go in as with ones that just catch the edge.

I can't see this number when I am putting on xbox one You may have to go into the in-game settings and tune your UI so it's closer to the center of the screen.

I can't see this number when I am putting on xbox one Hey man, I would almost bet you can see this, it is your club yardage, but for your putter. Just like you see 245yds when you have 3W selected, when you have putter selected it will show the total putter distance. That number tells you how fast the greens are. If your putter distance is 187, very fast, 101 very slow.

I think they should take off the spy glass effect and just rely on feel for the putting.
