This is brilliant - helped me turn a best of +8 to a -1 on Kodiak.
Wish I could have had this before I did Q School.

Doyley, I really appreciate your tips that you took time to share. They really helped! I am still really struggling with cross winds and winds that are in between "cross and in your face" type winds. Especially proper distances. Do you have any words of wisdom that may help?
Thanks Bill

I am still really struggling with cross winds For aiming: I usually use 1.5x the wind for aiming. So 9mph cross wind I'll do a minimum of 13.5 'clicks' against it. I also find the fade/draw grids - the first bar left/right is around 12/13mph. So if you're playing against any MPH, you can off of that as well. For distance: if you're playing a lot of wind, you're going to need a yard or two to account for the bend in the shot."cross and in your face" type winds. Especially proper distances. For Aiming: I find these winds affect the ball just as much as the straight cross winds as far as aiming goes. So the above still applies. For distance: I apply the same rules as a wind that would be straight on (head or tail wind). Hope that helps - it's still pretty generic but once you get the basics of it down you can start to tweak it to what you find happens to you in-game.

Read, digest & implement Doyley's Tips & Tricks. These are the mechanics of the game.... Practising the wise words in this bible will improve your game. This ladies & gentlemen is how I went from 28 over for Q-School to 15 under through 36 (round 2) at Old Beaver Creek for the Frank Underwood Peachtree Classic. Note also the difficulty level of the 6 "educational" courses versus the relatively easy track served up by Norbert & Daggett (Google them). I'm not perfect & I still make bad decisions, incorrect calculations, swing errors & putting gaffs.... but far, far less than I used. Another thing which helped me was buddying up with a superior player in live games, playing turn based & using the chat facility to learn from them. Good luck fellow Web (dot) commers.
