Playing my final round right now. I've realized one thing. I'm never playing Doak Valley again. Sooooo frustrating! -27 through 3 rounds and it should have been closer to -37... So many putts not breaking or breaking too much. I think the speed is what's messing with me!

Final round of the season complete. 1st round -13 2nd round -12 3rd round -6 4th round - Target for promotion -4, target for win -13 Well well well. That was some final round, tension by the bucket load, ups and downs, plenty of them. 1st hole - 5 foot birdie putt missed, argh 2nd hole - longer putt missed by inches 3rd hole - finally a birdie. Good old par 5s, why has it taken me so long to love you? 4th hole to 8th hole, no drama, some close Putts but all pars 9th hole - yep ,you guessed it, par 5 and another birdie. Only -2 after 9, win out of the window but on target for promotion. I was feeling the tension now. One bogey..........don't even think about it. I've always done well around the turn here 10th - short par 4, birdie is a must. Flop shot hit too soft, birdie putt missed. 11th - another par. Now only -2 after 11. I can hear my kids in my head "Epic fail Dad" 12th - disaster, birdie putt hit too long, tough putt back up the hill for par. The first bogey looked a big possibility. The whole season rests on this putt. It's in, yey. That par felt like a birdie or even an eagle. Still in it, but more pressure. 13th - par 5, easy birdie? You would think so. 2nd shot in the bunker, oh no. I NEED a birdie here. I hit a fantastic flop shot, strikes the pin and starts rolling back and back. I'm left with another tricky putt. I make it, huge relieve, some breathing space now. 14th - birdie, breathing more easily. Maybe the kids were wrong. I only need pars now. 15th - par 16th - fantastic birdie, one of the best of the week, it's a tough par 3. 17th - another par 5 and this time another birdie made quite comfortably. Promotion surely confirmed? ?? 18th - so far I'm sure I've hit 100% fairways, missed 1 green on this round. I've not had a bogey all tournament. Could I make it happen for the first time ever. Tee shot, safe, iron safe. Relief, so much relief. Now let me make this final 10 for putt to finish off the most fantastic season in any game ever. MISSED. Hit the b@#$dy thing short. -6 it is. -37 in total. Must be going to web boys and girls, now who is joining me? Bye bye season one, see you soon season two. Ps on ps4 I'm currently sitting 1 shot off the lead. If that final putt was to cost me victory then.......I might just have to go out and buy Rory

If not, you've got an amazing hole by hole memory! Nobody on ps4 in the forties? Nobody on pc in the forties. But based off the two hole Leaderboard you would expect there to be a few dozen of them across both platforms. I'm pretty sure there will be a drop off after round two, but it didn't expect it to be that drastic. The other explanation is that there are a lot of people that haven't completed all four rounds yet.

Well done DH. Especially only -2 through a dozen or so...those clutch pars save your sanity. Look forward to seeing you up on the web next season. I hit -38 this week which was a needed good result after a couple bad ones in the last 3 weeks.

Yep, the gentlemen you just quoted went -53 I believe. Just curious why we haven't heard anyone in the forties when posted rounds so far suggest we are certainly going to see a number of people there. Actually, someone just posted a 41 under on pc today.

I can only recall 3-4 folks on the XB1 leaderboard that went below -40, and 2-3 of them are not even in CC. I think that final round is really playing tougher (at least tougher than the first three).

Yeah, I think I practiced the D course at least a dozen times before I even approached a double digit negative score.

Pablo - have you played Tidewater Plantation? The reason I ask is that it's my favourite course in the whole game and I respect your opinion as an unofficial reviewer of other courses in this game. I cannot review courses properly, I don't notice all the little things and I have never used GNCD. A course either feels real to me or it doesn't. I would be very interested to hear your comments on this course. To me it feels like I'm actually there playing and I particularly like the rainy day version. I think this designer deserves more recognition. Hope you agree to try it out. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. For sure bogey, I'll check it out. And let you know my opinions about it. And sorry for not having seen your message

Felt great after starting off 59 60. My warm up for Round 3 didn't really go well, but I stopped after 6 holes and figured I'd better get playing the real deal. Went 65 69 to finish up. As good as I felt I putted in Rounds 1 and 2, just had no feel in Rounds 3 and 4 with the putter at all. Pin placements were much tougher of course, but still, think I three putted from 5 feet a couple times those last two rounds. But I won't complain, think I should be safe for a Web card at -35. Hope that putter issue was a one night thing, cause that ain't gonna hack it on the Web tour.
But yeah, Doak Valley was very kind the first two rounds. Last two rounds, felt like a completely different course.

@canthititstraight - I wrote my report straight after I played, and don't quote me on every fact. It all happened but I may have mixed up a hole or two.
On PS4 the top of the leaderboard was amazingly close, there were a couple of dozen players within a few shots.

When I finished you were the only player ahead of me on the PS4 leaderboard so well done on your round too. It was so tense. In the end it looks like I'll be nearer winning CC-B than I will not making the top 100. I really thought my chances of winning was blown after round 3.

Last two rounds, felt like a completely different course. Exactly the same for me. I've not seem my round 4 stats yet but I made about 8 more putts on round 3 than I did rounds 1 and 2. Actually round 4 was my best for fairways and greens in regulation but the putter wasn't hot. It's been said before, putting is the key!! I do believe a number of my approach shots were not quite as close and also I chipped and/or holed out on my first two rounds, only 1 chip on round 3 and none on round 4. I'm not expecting to win here but I'll be checking the leaderboard until the time I'm off the top
