Arrrrrghhhh what a time for the dreaded 90-95% swing to hit me...round 4 of the Championship with a chance at promotion. Winds were there too.. 4-8mph rd 1 4-8mph rd 2 2-7mph rd 3 4-12mph rd 4 Man...so disappointed after working so hard the past few weeks. 68-67-70-71

Ever since the recent wind fix, it seems that we no longer have the pleasure of the higher winds. Now that they're gone, I kind of miss them! The number of double digit wind holes in the fourth round was probably less than a handful.
I think winner of this one will have to shoot sub 60's on every round.

No tiers this week are there?

No tiers this week are there? They still have to do the scoring in tiers otherwise everyone under CC-A will earn a strike. Not really fair. The master leaderboard will dictate the promotions to Web.com

I prefer the winds the way they are now. If somebody shoots -60 to win in CC-A..good for them. The old winds were just way too unrealistic. Made the game too gimmicky for me. If they wanna make the game harder...make the cone for straight hits smaller. Up the player's margin of error, without relying on a variable to dictate the game's difficulty level.

The master leaderboard will dictate the promotions to Web.com I can see no reason to have the tiers. Obviously finishing outside the top 70 would not be a strike..... There's no need to have strikes for this event. I was expecting a master leaderboard, maybe not though....

Certainly see where you are coming from but don't agree. When birdie becomes the new par, that is gimicky. I also understand that there will always be a split opinion on this so oh well, everyone can't always be happy. I do wish they would mix in a higher wind round once and awhile. I don't think a little cone reduction will make things harder for better players. All that said, I am fine with the new wind update.

Kudos for doin better boss but to cry the winds were to unrealistic to now when there is no such thing to now where 9 is pushing it......that is unlrealistic.

Birdie will ALWAYS be par for the better players regardless of the wind. The better players just adapt..well..better. The gale force winds for many people made the game unplayable. I have got to the point where the wind doesn't effect my play as much as it once did..but I still wouldn't want a round where it's 22+ all round again either. The new wind works for everybody..which is how a game should work. If the better players are putting up 50's every round..so be it.

Blah... -16 in one round... -3 in another....... Hopefully enough for a web card though I think 4 rounds is too much for me in 1 sitting

Yep, I am right with you. I am just hoping it was enough to get through. I think I came in two behind you (I assume that is you on XB1). I think upper -30's is a good posted score. Winner should be in the -50's.

So I will post it. I went a very consistent 63, 63, 62, 64 for a -36 total. Hopefully this is enough for a Web card.

The number of double digit wind holes in the fourth round was probably less than a handful. I think winner of this one will have to shoot sub 60's on every round. I wonder why you might say that, haha. I played terribly. Shots went to places I tried to actively avoid (whether by ball squirts or subtle slopes that I can't see), leaving sidehill putts that would consistently go around or through/over the edge of the cup. Missed several putts within 5-10', even the straight ones (which of course still had moving beads on the lines all the way through). Must have bumped off the edge of the cup 10 or 15 times throughout the entire tour, but it happens. Even worse, mrkuo destroyed my score and it wasn't even close. 63 (-9) 61 (-11) 65 (-7) 63 (-9) 252 (-36) Should still make the Web comfortably, but that was one of the most frustrating groups of 4 rounds I've played. I expected to struggle this week though. I just can't score on this course (yet I can score on the original one with 15 mph winds). I also miss the high winds.
