Great show, I watched some live, some later. Congrats Drivert.
Thx to the excellent team for their comments, review, and really unexpected placement of my course, much appreciated.
The remaining 9 is on the burner, a little back there, but on the burner.

Yup! Another great competition with a worthy winner..... I had Jakarta Bay in front of a couple that made the top 10 but at the end of the day it was nice to make the cut this time round.... Many congratulations to the podium: Ddawg, Mrooola & especially drivert.

I can tell you that some of the rankings were pretty different in spots...but that's because it's all so subjective. *shrug*
Was fun to help judge this time around. I'm sorry I had to go last night. I had a family issue come up and there was simply no way to handle it AND be on the stream.

(I too, had some of the courses higher than their final position). This was a tough group of courses to choose from, and the styles of the 4 judges was just as subjective. I want my 'stach hairs back! Congrats to the winner. (The real winner is the community, as they now have 21 Nine-hole courses to play). |

Part of what makes judging hard at times is that in the top few spots it's not about finding negative things as much as it is who did the little things better. That's where it became more subjective. Most of the lower to middle spots were courses that did have some problems or that had some neat ideas but simply weren't pulled off as well as some others.

I thought that by having more contestants we'd have more chance of all picking the same winner, as there's more chance for one to stand out from the rest.
WRONG
They were all good - of a standard, as Reeb says, that really made it so hard to pick between them. Everyone did well, there wasn't a course I didn't like!
Congrats drivert. But everyone did well here.

Loved the contest, loved being a part of it. I have no qualms with the guys at the top and I would have shuffled around the middle a bit but all in all I felt it was fair.
More contests! Next time everyone is assigned a random theme and a random brush tool, one for placement and one for scultping. Can only use that brush tool for the whole course. (Soft circle, soft circle, no whammies no whammies)
