-47 and losing by 5 to the leader on PS4.......... Don't really know what else to say besides that I might have left 5 strokes out there lol Easy course and easy winds helped me get to low numbers. Can't complain with my score but damn I thought I'd be a little closer to the top after that! Haha still hopefully a top 5... Should be anyways. ☺ Jordan, do you know who the leader was? Hopefully it was someone else from a higher tour just practicing. Even at -47 you have set a tough target for exemption from B this week. If you win and the other score was a practice then I'll need to score -32. I got a -8 on the first round so need 3 more of those.

Nice tourney Jordan. Don't care how easy the course is, that isn't an easy score to get! Leader on xbox is at -48, although don't think they're in CC-A at least (SweetAeromotion), can't believe someone could score that low on xbox though with the winds this week for us. Personally went -8,-9,-8,-11 ... pretty happy with the 4th round score in the 16 mph winds which was 2nd on xbox for the round, definitely one of my better ones so far. Hopefully the xbox patch comes before the CC championship, don't need to be fighting an uphill battle on that one Yes that was me. I am PGA, so don't worry about my scores affecting the outcome of any CC tier. I had just gotten an XBox1 and those were among my first rounds on it and I was trying to get used to the XB1 controller by getting in some practice. I hope the patch does come soon as well so the fields are as close as can be again. Nice scoring man, just a quick question though, why do so many PGA players use the CC tournament for practice? Do you guys not practice on the PGA courses for the week. Always see confusion over leading scorers being from CC or not

We shouldn't really take any notice of the in-game leaderboards. It's on here which counts. I think the top players just like to practice other courses and as well as the tours they are on. Most of the time the top players have more time to play. Not always true but generally I would think it would be the case.

Do you guys not practice on the PGA courses for the week. Always see confusion over leading scorers being from CC or not I sometimes play all the tours for the week, sometimes I don't. I always practice the PGA course once or twice, usually not more. I don't get much out of more than two practice rounds unless I really don't get a "feel" for the course. Also, I was eliminated from the PGA FedEx after last week's tournament, so I have no event this week and I am off of work as well for the week. I have time and am using the time to gauge which platform(s) I want to play in season two. I know many of the Web players, and have been unofficially tracking myself vs. them during their playoffs, so its not just the CC that I play. I already played the Euro event this week (on PS4). I plan to get to the Web and PGA events, too. In today's case, this was the first time I had ever owned an Xbox of any kind, and I had never used the controller. The left analog and D-Pad are switched vs a Playstation controller, so I wanted to get used to it. I also wanted to see how close I could get to the top CC scores on a system "pre-patch" for no reason but to satisfy my curiosity. I do apologize for causing the confusion. I am certainly not doing it just to cherry pick or however you could/may look at it. In the future I can just not finish out the 72nd hole if it causes too much confusion. I would say, however, that I encourage the CC players to try at least the Web course tournaments if you have time. It helps you to gauge where your level is vs. the next level up. I regularly played the tours above me before reaching the PGA and it provided goals to shoot for and names (screen names at least) to follow or to compare scores to.

Thanks for answering my question, I was curious as to why so many of the higher calibre players play the lower tours for practice, seems you guys can't get enough of the game and will enter most of the tournaments if you have time I haven't had time to try a Web event yet myself but must have a try on that level at least soon. No need to not finish out your practice, I normally check the usernames and see if they are CC or not and I don't be near the top end of the leader board anyway, I just try to ignore the in game leaderboard now as I make mistakes and get frustrated chasing really low scores that most of the time are not CC players.

It makes a change you not being the one preventing my promotion ha ha!! -29 under the next 3 rounds is definitely doable. If you place your shots on the right sides of the holes you can get a lot of really good straight in putts. Also I took a conservative strategy on the par 5s laying up most of the time and not trying to be a hero because it bit me in the ass a couple times!

I started doing the same on the par 5s this round as well, and found I actually scored better playing it safer on the par 5s... think that is because I'm not great at chipping yet and so often seem to get into that dreaded 15 yards out distance.

Even though I scored my personal best on a 4 round tournament this week, I knew that there would be other people in the 40's. Never expected close to -50 though!

I've been out of town and haven't been around. Is there an issue with the wind now? I saw a few comments about easy winds, but I had 12-14 in every round and the last was 15-18. Did some systems get patched and others not? Not playing for a week was interesting. I had zero feel for putting and missed a ton. I think I finished -28 and was kind of happy with that since I was rusty. The scores seem crazy low for that kind of wind.
It's going to be an issue if the championship is under different conditions (not like I can compete with most of you guys, but I'd like it to be a fair chance).

Hey Yaters, yeah the patch hasn't been rolled out to Xbox yet so the winds are still we've become used to the last few weeks. Different wind conditions on PC and PS4 (more variable during the round but I'm not sure how much less they are). I think at this stage every system has had it's week or two where it's probably been unfair. It'd be great if HB could decide on a swing once and for all and focus some energy on the parts of the game that desperately need it, like the social/online playing aspect!

Okay, I think some people will enjoy this. My first round I had over 70% shanks. By shanks, I don't mean "oh, it's slightly to the right". No, I mean "did you know that you can hit the water on #6, the par 3?" and "I didn't think you could get a white shot line that nearly bent 90 degrees" and "Wow, I don't think anybody will ever hit a golf ball within 50 yards of that shot." I hit I think at least 5 water hazards. Had a quad bogey on #2 (I didn't even get past the tee box until I was lying 5) and a triple bogey somewhere (I think two of them) and other fun things. Yeah, real fun... After the first round I decided to close the game, unplug my controller, re-open the game, and move the window to my G-sync monitor. Suddenly I wasn't shanking nearly every damn shot. Frustrating as hell to have a round like that while up in exemption. (Honestly, it doesn't matter too much, I'm hoping to move on from the championship, haha). Anyways for the scores: 76 (+4) 61 (-11) 59 (-13) 63 (-9, with almost all the scoring on the back 9 with a missed 6' eagle putt) That's a total of -29. I'm pretty confident if I didn't have the swing issues on the first round I would have definitely challenged your score, mrkuo. Maybe next time... I was wondering what was happening in your first round! Kudos for finishing anyways. This has definitely happened to me but luckily not in a tourney yet, I probably would have thrown my controller out the window.
