All done! Winds were the highest I've ever seen them in game at 18-19 mph during the first round. Second round 6 mph. Third round 9 mph. Fourth round 6 mph. Format is A Tour for the first and second rounds and B Tour for the third and fourth.
Best I've ever played in my six weeks on The Golf Club. I actually managed 10 straight pars on the high wind round to start the round before sinking four birdies the rest of the way. Never in my life did I think I'd play a 19 mph round and finish with only pars and birdies.
Though my scores were better in the subsequent rounds, I did land a bogey in each one.
This was my first tournament where I didn't crack open a beer half way through it. So I guess I won't be drinking and playing on Friday nights anymore!

Very well played.

The wind devoured me in round 1...85...ouch. I'll try to peck away at it over the final 3 rounds..if I can back to around +8 -+10 over for the finish I'll be happy. I'm afraid the damage is already done though.

I see he had 6mph in the 2nd..I've started my 2nd round and played 3 holes and I'm averaging 10+ mph

Anyone know how this exemption thing works? I think I've maybe got one for CC-B (within 15 shots right?) but I've already registered for Le Golf National on CC-C. Confused.com

The admins will move you when they finalize this week tomorrow. It's automatic, you do not have to do anything.

Don't think it matters you are still playing the same tour in game so can play today without issue Once the exemption goes thru and the leaderboard goes live Monday you will probably see yourself on B

19 MPH in round 1. Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore. Managed to grind out an 80 - and happy to be that low. Hopefully the next 3 rounds will be a bit calmer.

You know, I will play in whatever conditions they throw at me, have never wind waited, always played my 4 rounds in one sitting and will just try and do my best. I do wish however that HB would make a slight adjustment to the way they set winds. To throw 20mph winds on the first round kind of puts people in a defeated mindset by the end of round one. Throw the hurricane at us in round 3 or 4, let people get off to a good start, build some confidence and enthusiasm rather than make the player feel like its just a grind. I think this adjustment would be good for all tours not just us down here in the short bus tour lol
Not really meant to be a whine, just an observation/wish. Who knows maybe I will beat my personal best tournament score of 56 lol.
I have not started my rounds yet, will later today. I hope I play like I did yesterday just playing casual rounds. I went 4 rounds (Le Golf A & B, Mistwood A & B) completely bogey free and good scores, even in a couple with 14-15 mph winds. Probably just jinxed myself now by saying that, my scorecard will be totally red...see defeated attitude even before I start lol.

I agree..after the 1st round..I was so far in the hole I knew there was no coming back. I found myself trying to make shots I never tried to make in practice in order to try to peck away at that +14 85 in the 1st round. By round 4 I just didn't care anymore..I was mentally exhausted.

Not really sure what to think after the first round. I had 2 double bogies, 3 bogies, and 6 birdies for. +1 total. The score was there for me but I killed myself on some holes because of stupidity.
I do agree these winds are a bit high and take little away from the game. All in all it was a grind.

Damn... I haven't played yet but I've been practicing Tour A all week with 10-13 mph winds, which is fairly normal winds in real life... but this excessive winds in tournaments are pretty absurd.
Also, how does the tournament play? Which order of courses? A, A, B, B? Or does it rotate A, B, A, B?
