The wind was intense rd one. I was jittery and ended up putting like a donkey. +5, -2, -2, -5. Not going to win anything but happy to be done with another wind filled 4 round saga

All done! Winds were the highest I've ever seen them in game at 18-19 mph during the first round. Second round 6 mph. Third round 9 mph. Fourth round 6 mph. Format is A Tour for the first and second rounds and B Tour for the third and fourth. Best I've ever played in my six weeks on The Golf Club. I actually managed 10 straight pars on the high wind round to start the round before sinking four birdies the rest of the way. Never in my life did I think I'd play a 19 mph round and finish with only pars and birdies. Though my scores were better in the subsequent rounds, I did land a bogey in each one. This was my first tournament where I didn't crack open a beer half way through it. So I guess I won't be drinking and playing on Friday nights anymore! And if -4 was your worst score then what are we talking, -24 finish? Well played. Thanks! A bit better than that. But this being my best finish ever, maybe I shouldn't reveal it for the possibility of jinxing myself?

And if -4 was your worst score then what are we talking, -24 finish? Well played. If his score is the one I saw...you're not far off. I see he had 6mph in the 2nd..I've started my 2nd round and played 3 holes and I'm averaging 10+ mph I actually messed up when I posted the winds for rounds 2 through 4. I posted correctly in the other thread (CC-B I think) first and then messed up when I came here. Round 2 started with 9 mph, round 3 with 6 mph, and then round 4 with 9 again. For each round the winds did vary by at least 1 mph so 9-10, then 6-7, then 9-10 might have been what I really meant. With the wind fix, we are all playing the same winds.

Damn... I haven't played yet but I've been practicing Tour A all week with 10-13 mph winds, which is fairly normal winds in real life... but this excessive winds in tournaments are pretty absurd. Also, how does the tournament play? Which order of courses? A, A, B, B? Or does it rotate A, B, A, B? A, A, B, B I believe.

I enjoyed this course. Just finished up my tournament.
71-62-65-65 for a -21
I'm disappointed with how many birdie putts I left on the low side of the hole. Could've/should've been about -25. That's how it goes during actually tournament play for me, though. I think I'll be around a top 20 finish this week. Winner will be in the 30s.

I finished with a +2 after no putts dropped for me the entire tournament. I wonder if someone slowed down the greens a little bit because I hit all of those putts in practice. Even chips that I had hid the cup sat next to it or spun out. I am really running hot and cold from week to week right now.

Well I have just played my least enjoyable round of golf on this game ever. I was doing alright up until the 5 hole with the 20mph winds at my back, all the ghosts are taking the line in between the trees. Sure looks no problem, aim it up, hit a great shot...oh for $%$#@% sakes I forgot to club up to the driver. Buried deep in the rough, double bogey, here is where I fell apart. I have never shot such a demoralizing round in this game ever.
I kind of got into a panic mode, I can play the wind ok, but after a couple ugly double bogeys I got into the race mode trying to catch up, which in turn took my focus away from being slow and methodical lining up shots, which snowballed into getting into huge trouble. Killed my chances of ever recoving.
Still have to do my final 3 rounds, I had quit to de rage, will finish in a bit after I go stick my head in the oven for a while. I will still do the best I can, but will probably win the bottom of the leader board award.
I think I am going to wind wait, retire from the tour, uninstall the game and come back when they decide that people dont want to play in 20mph winds <----I'm just kidding here letting off steam I think lol.
All I can is laugh now at that round, at least the rage is subsiding.

All I can is laugh now at that round, at least the rage is subsiding. Walking away sounds like a great idea to calm your rage down. I have yet to try this, I just plow through the rage. In one of the tips thread I read in the past week, someone suggested that you can get like 160 yards out of a SW by de lofting it to insane amounts. I actually got to try that trick out once on Le Golf. You can crank it up to almost 200% this way. Takes a 40-60% shot and makes it like 80-90%.

I've tried the de lofting on the SW a bit in casual rounds, but couldnt seem to get a handle on it, sometimes it worked, sometimes not. Found myself getting into more trouble than it was worth. Now I just try and do a short pitch onto the fairway and hope to get a close approach shot and par.
I didn't take enough time to calm down lol.
Round two didn't go so great, 2 over Round 3 2 under round 4 1 under
Not posting my +325 round 4 score. Well not quite but may as well been.
Went into this one confident of a top 30 to rid myself of all strikes. Well it's been nice chatting you guys in CC-C, but I'll be moving on down, if not this week (hovering on the 70 bubble right now), next week for sure I'm in CC-D. I miss the old Champions circuit where I was competitive, and even earned a promotion to Champions A.
Nice course, liked it, but will never see it again. I have PTSD after today, and dont want to be reminded of the horrors I saw today lol.

Wow, I'm worried. I've shot under par in 5 practice rounds but with a wind of 7-10. Not looking forward to round 1!

I played in week 33s tournament but there doesnt seem to be a register link for this weeks tournament but there is one for week 35, any idea why this is? thanks Welcome to TGC! There is no register link for my week 34 tournament either. I registered on the first day registration became available, which is two weeks before the tournament begins. During that time, you are given a withdraw link if you wish to do so. I believe once the tournament goes live (you were able to start the week 34 tournament Saturday midnight EST) you can no longer withdraw from the tournament. So you don't see a register link because 1) you registered and didn't remember or 2) you never registered and are too late to be able to play the tournament You should email the commish though, you might get a pass since you're new. As for signing up for the tournament, I think you have to do so at least a week before the tournament starts. Someone correct me if this is wrong.

This is pretty much right, registering for a event closes the day before it starts. So check the player list for week 34, if your name is there, you forgot you registered and are good to go. If name is not there, like cathititstraight said, sent a email, the can usually get you in.
