Yeah +5 first round LOL. I was on vaca for the last 7 days. Hadn't played a bit, then jumped in, so yeah I missed more fairways then I have in the last 4 tourneys combined. Plenty of 92% swings as it took me a while to get used to the swing. I was kicking my self for not playing a practice nine hole course before this round, just to warm up. Oh well.

Thanks, Colin. Fingers crossed! I'm kicking myself, too -- over the second round. My putter has gone a little cold the past two tournaments... Great score Steve and 2 strokes better than the target I set you! I would definitely expect that to be top 10. Dare I say top 5 and an exemption to Web?! It should be close but if it's not this week it won't be long. Well played again bud. Thanks, Paul! It's top 10 in A now for an exemption to Web, so fingers definitely crossed that it's good enough!

Well, I had a slow start this week with a -1 straight out of the blocks - not too unhappy with that considering my struggles with hitting a number of 94% shots which put in the poo (seriously considering swapping to PS4 - currently using a PS controller emulated as a XBOX 360 via Scarlet on the PC) Things started to improve from there with a -4 then another -4 before finishing off with a nice -9. -18 Overall - frustrated but happy

I finally had a bogey free back 9 in round 4. I shot 68 in round 3 and 65 in round 4 to bring me to -15 for the tournament. I was shooting for -20 for the tourney but that 72 in round 2 killed those hopes. I enjoyed the course and thought it played well for the CC crowd.

I had my arse handed to me on a plate 1st round, hovering around -1. Ended up -2, somehow! Can't believe someone went -14. Holed everything for the first 10 holes. Went straight onto 2nd rnd. On fire thru 9 but slipped a bit back 9. -9 finish. Anyone going under par had a good tourney

My final round had everything good and bad about my game. I started poorly with a par and a bogey, the dropped shot was annoying as it was a low percentage shot. As always with shots like that, I felt it as soon as I took the shot. I soon recovered with birdies on the next two holes but something did not feel right with my approach shots. I was giving myself a lot to do, at least I was putting well. The rest of the front nine went in a pattern, par birdie, three under after nine was not to bad. I could have had a eagle on the eight but the putt lipped out. I was happy with birdie but those extra shots can make a huge difference.
The night hole nearly killed my chances of staying in cc-a. A poor tee shot left me in the rough with the branches of a tree in the way. I found the green with my approach but my long putt just rolled and rolled. My uphill chip was terrible and I could only two putt for a double. One under par after ten was a bit of a sickener to be honest and my confidence just dropped but there was still holes to play so I had get on with it. My approach on the eleventh was as good a shot I played all day. I had given myself a good eagle chance, the chance to get those shots back straight away. The break was not to bad and as I lined up my putt, I said a little prayer to the golfing gods and took my shot. Watching the ball roll towards the hole was a moment of pure excitement , it seemed to travel in slow motion so I could see everything in clear detail. The slow roll of the ball, watching it turn as it headed towards the hole, watching it slide past by a inch, watching it stop on the green and not in the hole, so damn close and yet so far away.
The frustration of missing the eagle quickly evaporated, it was a shot back and there was still work to do. Then the slow motion effect happened again, watching my tee shot land exactly where I wanted to, the slow roll of the ball towards the hole, the ball stopping just before the hole, a missed ace. I had recovered my two dropped shots but it could have been so much more. It was so many emotions in such a short space of time, the agony and ecstasy of golf and it was not finished yet, not by a long shot. And a long shot is what brought my next birdie, a long putt to be precise. I think it was around forty feet, I was to busy dancing around the room after it dropped to remember how long it really was, I was back baby!!
I had a 180 yard approach on the fourteenth and yet again it was so close to being perfect,it clipped the edge of the hole. If it had hit the pin full on, it might have stopped, even dropped but it rolled of the green. It put a stop to my birdie run but I was feeling good about my game again. I birdied the next two holes, nothing dramatic this time, just good steady play, six under with two to play. I think I tried to hard over the last two holes, knowing every shot counted and feeling confident again, I just went for it but could not manage any more birdies. I am disappointed about the way I played the last but that's golf.
So a sixty six to finish, nine birdies a bogey and a double. But more importantly a round of excitement, a roller coaster ride of tears and cheers. A round that's shows why I am still playing this game and tour for so long. Will it be enough, time will tell. As for you dear reader, have fun out there.

What does everyone think the winning score will be on CC-A this week? I've got one round left and think I'm in with a chance if the first 2 rounds are to go by. Lead after 2 round is -11, double that and add a few due to easier winds then I think winner will be at -25 to -27. The target score for exemption from CC-B would then be around -10 to -12 I think I can make it! Can all you CC-A guys and gals make sure you don't hit too low this week?

Hi Dean -- I finished -22 and I'm sure I'll lose by 5-8 strokes. Good luck on your exemption (I'm confident you'll get it).

Cheers Steve. I might struggle with the high end of that score line. -15 is possible but I'd feel under pressure. Have to put it out of my mind and just keep playing my game. I'd be disappointed if I didn't manage to meet the low end of your prediction. -12 is within my grasp. Was the wind light in R4?

Winds are around 6 and 7 mph in the last round, good chance to shoot low, good luck in your last round.
