Don't know if this is the place to ask this or not... but if someone wanted to change tours from season 1 to season 2. Say go from Euro to PGA or vice versa... is there a 'procedure' for that to happen? Good question .. and possibly one with huge impact. If Brionne, Bradley and Ian choose to do so... Et voilà .. we have a tier 1 (PGA) and tier 2 (Euro) situation on our hands. Keep the Strength of Field formula in place and very very few players on the Euro tour will have a shot, if any, to make the 2016 Ryder Cup team.. due to their position on the WGR (around sept'26). Unless say the Top 5 Euro's in the Race to Dubai make it despite their position in the WGR. Which would be true to life I like to add. Choose the Presidents Cup approach for the Euro team selection and it's bye bye Race to Dubai for me as well. If I get to choose that is. I'm sure the admin team will think it through before the season 2 start.

As the rules stand now, it says those who finish in the bottom 20% of FedEx cup standings and fail to earn PGA Tour card during Web.com Tour Finals get demoted to Web.com I wish we could get some kind of line on the standing page that shows not only the Top 125 Fed Ex cutoff but also the bottom 20% cut off point and have it fluctuate from week to week. As it is explained now, I have no idea where I will be or what I have to do after season is over. The bottom 20% is old - it's now based upon what I wrote today. There are so many inactive members on all tours money/pts lists that the majority of the 20% aren't around anymore.

Doyley Two questions: 1) Perhaps there could be a way to , highlight the players in FedEx and Race to Dubai Standings who are eligible for the season ending events, so those near the bubble know exactly where they stand. 2) If I read correctly, those outside the top 100 on PGA and Euro Tour must play in the Web.com finals to maintain a tour card. So, if you finish high enough to earn a card in the FINALS do you have a choice of Tours or will you be placed in one or the other. Thanks 1. It's on Tim's to-do list (high up) 2. You will have a choice of tours - you can set it in your user profile (Edit Profile) under Preferred Tour.

To clarify re: Web.com. For those of us (me included) that are earning our card near the end of the season, is there any scenario where we are demoted during the Web.com Finals? Or is it as I interpret, where at worst I start next year as a Web.com player and can possibly play up to a PGA card if I do well enough in the finals?

So the presidents cup will only have 10 players in it? I've read the post 10 times and can't make sense of that part. Surely more than 10 players.....

IT's 12 on each team. 10 make it by WGR, the other two are captains picks.

Ahh. 24 total. And those other 14 can be anyone I assume? 10 per team (10 Americans and 10 International) make it by WGR And each captain has 2 picks which i assume can be anyone (except Europeans obviously)

Nice work Doyley and team. Was always going to be very difficult to please everyone but September should be a fun month for everyone.
Silap does raise a good point about Ryder Cup qualification though. I suspect how this works will determine where a lot of the European players choose to play in 2016.

Silap does raise a good point about Ryder Cup qualification though. I suspect how this works will determine where a lot of the European players choose to play in 2016. For some, reaching that first ever (winning ?) Ryder Cup European team will be their main focus in Season 2. So knowing how to achieve this is vital.

Well that takes me out unless I'm 1 of 4 to be picked. For all reading, I'm playing well right now. Just won on the PGA. Just sayin.........

Wish I wouldn't have started so late here. I'd like to think I've been a top 10 American since May, but I unfortunately am still only up to 58th in the world. 20th ranked American.
