I was right there with you through 3 rounds, but just couldn't get anything going in the high winds in the final round. 66-62-66-73 for -21. Yeah you had me covered after 3 rounds. Nice playing!! The last round was tough. I putted very well for my score. We should get a run up on the web next week Texjdt is a hammo mrk2 with those scores!

This course is really stressing me out. I've played the first two rounds and am keeping it together decently but it hasn't been easy (68-65). I've nearly blown up near the end of each round but made a couple of lucky chips and putts to keep things on track. The course isn't nearly as unfair or awful as I expected it would be (from my practice rounds and from the comments on here). Maybe we've been lucky with the wind but the fairways don't seem to play as narrow as they look! The only hole I can't figure out is #17. How are you guys playing this one? It seems like the right shot is to land it in front of the green and have it roll on, but it takes a huge bounce forward and rolls up the slope leaving a downhill putt that's impossible to stop. It looks like some birdies have been made though, so what's the secret?!

Great scoring man! I wish I could give you a tip for 17 but the best advice is land short or in the rough and chip up under the hole. I got a lucky bounce for a birdie in one of my rounds but kicked on up the green trying to land short and roll on the rest resulting in bogey or worse.

I think the proper play is to land short (in flop range) and flop it close for a par. Or bring it in a little higher. Depends on the wind I guess. Coming in with a 3 iron short (or God forbid a 5W) is definitely asking for a putt you don't want.

It'd be great if there was a practice mode in the game, or at least a way to start a round on the back nine instead so it would be easier to test this out! I think I'll go with what you're suggesting and try for a flop shot and par unless the wind turns around in the last couple rounds.

Hi to everyone on the tour, I just got my CC-A licence through the Q School and this was my first tournament. I really struggled on the greens and could not hole anything shot a first round 75 and never got going after that. Followed with rounds of 70, 75, 71 for a +3 total. I feel a little better reading posts in here as everyone seems to be having problems with the greens. Really liked the course overall but it punished you severly on certain holes. On 17 I had a tap in birdie as a reward for missing right and bouncing in from the rough to catch the slope. On my other rounds I 4 putted and 3 putted it despite hitting good shots in to the front part of the green that skipped on. Best of luck to the rest of you anyway Pretty good for your first outing, welcome aboard. That 17th hole is a pain, you hit it short and it bounces off the fairway like pavement above the hole leaving you with a fast putt. I 4 putted it myself.

-8 for the week will be close to another X perhaps. So much for a third straight sixth place finish.
Tough course for a mediocre putter. I had some decent chances at birdie but couldn't make any side-sloped putts...

I can't figure out the side hillers consistently either. That last round in 13 mph winds didn't play as bad as I expected since there wasn't a lot of cross winds.

Might need to be a little further with a tail wind. Tough shot either way. You don't want to go long at any cost as it's a nightmare lag putt

The highlight of playing that course for me. The ONLY highlight

Just wanted to say well done to all CC members - some really good scores being posted for this week across all flights. And on a tough course.

Hi everyone, this is my first post.
Scored - 24 for the four rounds. 17th was a tough hole for sure. Pretty confident about having an exemption to web.com tour.
Good luck

Good luck Hi superkael welcome to the tour, only new here myself. That is some impressive shooting on that difficult course. Think you are destined for a higher level with scores like that anyway, fair play man. Hi

Not the best of tournaments on my part - mostly due to my own mistakes on some holes each round costing several double bogeys along the way, and the whole tournament was almost like one step forward and two backwards (71,74,71,74), so it is going to cost me a strike. However, there is one thing that puzzles me. In the tournament setup it says:
Green Speed: Medium-Slow Firmness: Medium-Soft
It took me a while to figure out that either this information is wrong, or these are the hardest, fastest greens I have ever played with a medium-soft, medium-slow setting. Can anyone tell if the setup has been changed after the tournament description was made, or if this is this the actual setup? Have I misunderstood and is the description in the tournament setup not valid, and if so is there some other place I can see correct setup?
