& hey whaddaya know
f@&%$£ up R4, with a 76 (+4)
while i really liked the course, tight fairways & med greens, I don't like the fact that some greens are tricked up, & the holes set on red slopes. think it's stupid personally

I too had the exact same score on R4. Fuming was an understatement after going -16 for the first two rounds and +3 for the final two. Nothing worse too when you finish your rounds quickly and are left disappointed by the outcome so you just wanna crack on with the the next one but you have to wait almost a week.

I ride the wind unless I'm absolutely forced to draw/fade . I play that way in real life so it's just natural for me to do this. I've always found shaping the ball into the wind to be dangerous and very tough to judge distance. I don't think there is a right or wrong answer here, just whatever people are more comfortable with Can't seem to work out how far to aim off. It's ridiculous drawing/fading 1 1/2 boxes for the sheer amount you lose in distance. That's the main reason I don't shape the ball into the wind in real life. The distance you lose is dramatic! I'm not sure how accurate the game is in regards to that but I know that a lot of the ghost balls I play with I tend to hit my drives longer on the cross winds and I assume it's because many people choose to draw/fade. In regards to how much to allow for, it's just practice. At the end of the day, any wind that's above 10mph a bit of guess work comes in, especially when you have to factor the ball above/below your feet as well

I play of plus 4 these days. I played professionally for around 7 years but it's tough going and I wasn't quite good enough. So I'm now trying to fulfil my PGA tour dreams here! Haha

What a crazy first round. Came in -6. Had everything from a hole in one (#5) to a 4 putt double bogey (#17). Also made par on 2 of the 4 par 5's I think. Frustrating course, makes you think!

Totally frustrating round 2. I bogeyed three out of the last four holes to shoot a 73. Round 3 was better and bogey free, but still only shot a 68. I did however birdie #5 and finally managed to get the ball to roll back down off the slope on the drive for a near HIO.

By far the worst course I've ever played.. Blew my cc-b exemption.. Greens a so deceiving.. Don't no whether each green is fast or slow.. In saying that I scraped a -6 thru 3 rounds and finished with an 84 +6 for the tourney.. Thank god it's over.. Hopefully back to normal next week..

Round two was a little disappointing for me. I started fine, was two under after four before I dropped a shot. I got that shot back on the next hole so I was still in a good position but from then on I just did not play well. I was not giving myself chances to pick up shots. My approaches were landing to far from the hole to give me birdie chances. A very poor short putt on the ninth dropped me back to one under. I regained my composure a bit over the next seven holes picking up two shots along the way. I still was not playing as well as I would have liked. I made a mess of the seventeenth finding the bunker in front of the green with my second shot. I was unable to recover to drop back down to two under and that's how I finished. Not really good enough if I want to get rid of my strikes, especially in what are the best conditions of the four days. The next couple of days will be interesting. Hopefully I can do enough to stay in the top seventy, I just need to try focus, a little slice of luck would not go amiss either!

Got my exemption from D to C this week.. First round I was -7 through 11 holes then on the last four I proceeded to bogie, double bogie, NINE, and bogie... Ended up +2 for the round.. LOL I understand the frustration... That 17th hole on round one ate my lunch... I think I five putted from about 8 feet...
I enjoyed the course and it was a load of fun.. finished up tourney -7 but shoulda/coulda been around -12 to -15 I would have hoped.... Hope its enough to keep me on C but doubtful....
Ill keep on fighting and just have to keep the wheels from falling off on some of these rounds.. ha ha
Good luck gang

Hi to everyone on the tour, I just got my CC-A licence through the Q School and this was my first tournament. I really struggled on the greens and could not hole anything shot a first round 75 and never got going after that. Followed with rounds of 70, 75, 71 for a +3 total. I feel a little better reading posts in here as everyone seems to be having problems with the greens. Really liked the course overall but it punished you severly on certain holes. On 17 I had a tap in birdie as a reward for missing right and bouncing in from the rough to catch the slope. On my other rounds I 4 putted and 3 putted it despite hitting good shots in to the front part of the green that skipped on. Best of luck to the rest of you anyway

That's a good score for your first ever tournament given the difficulty of this course. Best of luck in future events. Paul.

All done! 66,63,66,67 (-26) Played the 17th 3 over for the week! The 5th and 14th pins will give me night mares for quite some time! Not going to miss this course but I'll give it credit for being a challenge. Good luck to you all, just not too much luck I was right there with you through 3 rounds, but just couldn't get anything going in the high winds in the final round. 66-62-66-73 for -21.
