Cannot get over the break on hole #5. Was 10 feet from hole with 6 inch drop and the mother of left to right breaks. I must have turned my golfer almost 90 degrees to get close. When you're that close to the hole that is crazy.

I'll just say this again, as I found myself repeatedly saying this when I was picking courses for the Web.com tour. There is a feedback thread that I created today that is collecting dust: tgctours.proboards.com/thread/4315/get-involved-community-course-selectionIn it I explain how the demand for harder courses and the wind fix both hit at the same time, making the courses overhard. I've given the opportunity to help contribute courses to a pool that I can pick from for the CC tour for the next month or two. Yet just like the Web guys, there is a big long thread complaining about one course, but when given the opportunity to contribute I get nothing but crickets. At a certain point I have to think that people are going to complain just to complain. Complaining about people complaining? Gotcha Yes, if you want to call it that. I ask people for help and they give me nothing. Give someone a chance to complain though, and it's a stampede. The alternative is I offer no forum for feedback, and I disregard all complaints. Is that better?

I just played a couple rounds here in wind consistently between 12-16 mph and I think in those conditions this course is MUCH harder than Thousand Islands. Going to be a very interesting tournament.

Likewise Steve. Very similar winds as I write this and they're turning like there's no tomorrow. I think in similar conditions anything -3 or lower will be a very good score. In low winds I can see some people going -10 easily. Should make for another interesting week. Going back to hole 5, I just managed to get my approach to within 3 feet. Missed and I had an 8 foot putt back

Because of the narrow fairways and plethora of hazards (as well as slope on a few greens) this course is more about wind than any we've played thus far.

I find this course to be like playing 2 different courses once the wind hits. If you tee off and you are in around 3-7mph you can hover in around par or even slip below(haven't yet but that's my fault). Once the wind hits and if you have that 13-17 mph on the 1st tee...then hitting 80 to me is a good score.

Is that better? hello clv i appreciate all the hard work u do i was one of the loudest people that felt the courses we played in cc was a bit easy and while i think thousand islands was an improvement in that regard i think u should tone it up even more give us augusta national harbour pointe type courses hell yeah thumbs up the harder the better

Just finished playin this course with a mate of mine in winds of 12mph-16mph and I thought the course was barely playable. Considering that this is a CC course next week I think it is way too difficult a course especially if there are a few rnds in big winds. The scorecard below shows how tough it plays and take into account the course we played before this was Whistling Straights in 14mph-21mph and I scored -12 and my mate scored -6, and thats a PGA major course next week. On this course though I found some of the fairways unnecessarily narrow and some pins in really tough spots, particularly the one on #5 which in my opinion is disgraceful.

I've come the closest to a hole in one numerous times on #5 including an in and out(in on the fly bounced out for a 2 inch birdie) in my last round played there in 13-17mph winds. Hit to the back right over the pin and it will roll back to the hole every time.

Just had my best round in the 13-17mph winds...I was -3 heading to 14 and got itchy trigger finger. Managed to limp in with a 72...but very very happy with even par in those winds. I still got the lead for longest putt on PC with players playing over 360 rounds on the course. I'll take it

Just had a play in 12mph winds, was +4 after 14 and then like above limped over the line for +8.
I'm not a great player but I don't think this course is as awful as people are saying. You just need to take your time and plan out your shots.
Most importantly though, miss the bunkers and try and stay on the fairways.
I'll probably do what I did this week and hit another +20

I think what ABU_Bear says is the best route as in try and finish slightly short of the back of the green and let the slope bring it back down. When I got to within 3 feet, I hit the rough at the front. 1 yard less and I probably would've been in the drink. Won't be trying that in tournament play that's for sure!

I've done it a few times and it was definitely the right club. Whether logic prevails when the tourney starts though is another matter!

Had '6 downhill missed it and despite only barely hitting it i rolled down onto the fringe. Il predict now the hole plays over par for the tourny and prob as stroke index no. 1.
