NOTE: HB Studios has given us data in the API to detect the # of shots that were deemed taken with a modified axis.
We have about 20 players flagged by the API so far in the last two weeks (including Q-school). Those picked up by the API will be emailed privately.
If you want to play on TGCTOURS, you must abide by our rules. Remember, no one is calling you a cheater for using a modified device -- they are just not allowed on these tours.
Here is our policy:
We have a Two Strike policy in effect for this issue.
Strike 1 - Scores will be disqualified, you will receive an additional 1 week ban from Tournament Play
Strike 2 - Scores will be disqualified and you will receive a permanent ban from TGC Tours

The rules are there clear for all to see, I must admit I don't like the idea of giving the straight shooters a warning.
If they are straight shooting then they know they are breaking the rules and if they try to plead ignorance then they are idiots for not reading the rules!

No, I am. If you use a controller modified to make you swing straighter you are a cheater. This is fantastic news by the way. Now if they can just get the wind right I'll be in heaven. |

Congrats to the PGA who only has 1 suspect offender. I hav spoken to alot of people who think its not possible to detect people cheatin wit certain devices. I think anyone caught straight shooting shud be named and shamed. This way we hav full transparency on the issue. Sending private emails seems a bit wooly to me. |
