Pakalolo Reef is a fictional course that is not as accurate as Mauna Kea(real course). Over half of the holes on Mauna Kea were redone from scratch for better accuracy. All of the bunkers were changed as well. Roadways, houses and other objects were added. Mauna Kea is a much better course and would look better in the TGC library than Pakalolo Reef. Is it possible to switch the courses (Add Mauna Kea and remove Pakalolo). It would be a shame for the community if Mauna Kea couldn't be added to the course database. While I'm sure you put some solid time into renovating your course, it's a lot to ask of reviewers to scour your course playing spot the differences and then determine if there was enough changes to warrant this being a "new" course. I'm assuming if Ben opened up your second file and was able to instantly recognize it as your other submission, it's probably too close to warrant it being considered two unique courses. The course being omitted from the database doesn't mean it's being deleted from the game. If you're worried about the community missing out on your course, make a thread in the completed courses section. I wanted to offer one last plea to have Mauna Kea accepted by TGC Tours. As of this morning it has 307 plays with a 4.5 star rating. I understand that rules are put in place for a reason. But sometimes you have to overlook an honest mistake and do the right thing. I am hoping you will reconsider and accept Mauna Kea Resort and G.C. and remove Pakalolo Reef.

Preston Harbor Golf Club - not approved
On the holes that are sensible, this is absolutely fine. But holes 4 and 7 (and to a lesser extent 6) aren't there for database purposes and require inch perfect shots just to have a look at the green due to weird tree planting on 4 or laying up with a one iron on Master Clubs to hit a 2 wood to a par four green over water in the cast of 7. The holes that are logical are all good though, so I'm sure future publishes should be fine if you stick with those.

Powell-Morris Country Club - not approved.
Major sculpting and surfacing issues, lots of random mounds causing blindness, bunkers are generally too small and planting is too close to playable areas.

Cedar Cabins CC - not approved
Major sculpting and surfacing issues. Lots of unintentional blindness and bunkers aren't sculpted

Pacific Hollows - not approved.
Major sculpting and surfacing issues. The fairways are tiny and impossible to hold, greens are way too small with giant red slopes and there's a lot of land that needs flattening out beyond the playable surfaces (i.e. between tee and fairway)

Thames Valley Golf Course - not approved
Only one pinset. Beyond that, there's some unintentional blindness and you've got burn (black marks) around the edges of greens where you need to put heavy rough/fairway/light rough.

Lua Pele Bay - not approved.
Sculpting and sightlines are a major issue. Holes 4 and 5 offer no decent play other than chance off the tee and 3 and 5 are good examples of where more care is needed with sculpting as the fairway dives down to meet the green, causing playability issues. Additionally, whilst planting is nice in some areas, there's a LOT of emptiness when you look back from the tee - this isn't a reason for Not Approved, but it's something you'll want to address.

Hi mate! First, thank you and all the reviewers for your time. I know what I need to do for most of these concerns if I should choose to update the course, but I was curious if there was a rule of thumb about your last two points: (a) bunker size, and (b) proximity to play area of flora. Cheers! --CL

Cheers! --CL No worries and good to reach out for a bit more info. It's really a case of how you want to play it with both, but I think a good bunker size is usually at least 5 yards wide/deep and almost always more. I think I tend to mark out about 15 yards by 10 as a starting point, but really just do it by eye. I'd suggest trying to playtest from within the bunker in the designer by selecting 'play from here' and see whether it looks about right when you're gauging it. As for the tree line, again, it really depends on the look that you're going for. My take is that (generally - Harbour Town and a few others excepted) trees lining the fairway shouldn't obstruct approaches unless you REALLY want them to strategically. Therefore, giving 10-20 yards space at least is usually good. One way I developed a better eye for this sort of thing was to use the database to find a load of courses in the style I was going for and play them to get a feel for spacing / green/fairway/bunker sizes etc. It's just a starting point, but good to root yourself before you get going.

Chateau Blanc CC - not approved
First tee shot being blind doesn't set the tone as you'd want. A lot more sculpting needed - bunkers are dead flat for the most part and there's a lot of flattening out needed. Additionally, trees right in the middle of one of the fairways (perhaps the third?) are something to avoid.

The Lightkeepers Patch - not approved
At 3000 yards, this is simply far too short. We also don't accept par three courses to the database.
