- Course Feels bland - lack of shaping & planting
- Distance markers in middle of fairway on 1 hole the couldn't see them again (didn't finish the round)
- Greens have no shape or character
Hello, first timer here. Just curious what could be done to make improvements to the course? Thanks Message sent. Check your inbox

The Oasis Mirage Resort and G.C.- not approved - very uneven and unrealistic cart path - greens have sharp roll-offs - Lack of vision of fairways from tee - Bunkers need smoothing/work - Bunkers overlapping multiple terrains
Good enough to be approved if most or all of these are fixed.

Grahtwood Trail - Not Approved
- Dummy tees not level
- Fairway edges slope off dramatically
- A lot of red lines on greens. These are not near the holes but too excessive
- Bunkers flat or raised
- Cart paths like a roller coaster
- Tree on 5th could block tee shots of the wind is coming from the right

Hassayampa Hill GC - Not Approved
- Bunkers could have depth, no work has been done
- A lot of greens could be levelled a bit better on edges as these have red slopes
- Elevation ok however try and avoid having fairways all the way up to the green. I tested this and if you land short of the greens the ball would roll 100 yards or beyond until it rested on a flat surface or rough. If you want this elevation either flatten out a section of fairway at the top of the hill or replace the fairway with rough from 50 yards out
Try and be consistent with the rough. If you end up adding water after you have laid fairway and rough make sure you don't go to close to the edge as this then removes the rough and looks messy.
Tee boxes nicely done.

Kelham Village GC - not approved
There is potential with this course however the designer will need to fix a few issues before it can be approved and considered for a tournament.
- Try and minimise the run offs on the fairways (especially the first) Go around the edges and use a soft brush to flatten some of these.
- Tee boxes just seem to be plonked anywhere.
- Bunkers are flat. Need to sculpt these.
A lot of retaining walls have been used and some very nice planting.
2nd hole seems a little weird to me.

Rattlesnake Lake GC - Not Approved
First I want to say that this is a nice course and a challenging one at that. If the following issues get resolved this course will easily be approved.
1. A lot of the tee boxes need to be smoothed out, tee box 13 was the worst in the bunch. The left Tee marker was about 1 foot above the grass while the right marker was half underground (take the smooth brush and just make it slightly larger than the tee box, then apply)
2. There are missing textures around some of the Tee boxes
3. Hole 10 has a mystery tree or something in front of the tee box. When I went to tee off I heard the sound of hitting a tree and lost over 100 yards on my shot. The designer will have to remove all generated objects

Sherwood Lakes GC (tour edition) COMPLETED! - not approved
This course is not as advertised, it is certainly not tour worthy in its current state. The design and layout are nice but the execution is lacking. Below are the hole notes I was taking during my round
#1 - There's missing textures beyond the lake, the bunkers are flat and need some conturing #3 - Misplaced heavy rough in the band of light rough surrounding fairway - Missing textures on right greenside bunker #5 - Cart path left of tee box is sloped at a 45 degree angle to the left, the cart would probably roll over - Missing textures across the pond #6 - Cart path slices through the middle tee box #7 - Strange heavy rough patch in front of fairway, this patch extends 3/4 of the way across where it should either be all the way or not there at all #8 - Another badly tilted cart path #11 - Missing textures after pond #12 - Missing textures around fairway in multiple spots by pond #13 - Cart path to bridge is badly tilted #17 - missing textures on tee box #18 Left side of green is completely unrealistic and needs to be smoothed out
There were a lot of bunkers that are convex instead of concave or flat, its as if the bunker was placed on a mound but never contoured. there were some bunkers that were over 2 feet higher in the middle than on the edges

KITOSHI ISLAND
I'd like to file this course under "The Best of the Not Approved." or "To be forwarded to the programmers of Golden Tee."
Here's why I can't approve this course. Its's far too busy with way too much unrealistic planting. The greens were very unsophisticated. The fairways were pretty default and the bunkering was a lot of repeated stamping. The few attempts to sculpt elevation into the terrain were done in a very rough manner. Its is also very easy.
The course itself looked really awesome. It looked like the a course you would see on Golden Tee. (Which I am very fond of.) I liked how all the holes seemed to a complex of its very own. I know it had to take a lot of time to do al of the planting that you did. In fact , there was some of the best background visuals I've seen with the tropic theme. It was quite a lot of fun to play. I feel that this is a great "Arcade style" golf course, but terribly out of place among the courses we use for tour purposes.
The thing that struck me the most about this course, is that it looks exactly like the kind of course I would build, including the awkward editing of elevation. I just can't wrap my mind around how elegant the great ones make their courses.

GLEN CANYON PUBLIC GOLF COURSE
I'm trying to be thought provoking with my rejection explanation. This course didn't work on any level. There's a lot more to building a course than setting a bunch of difficult macros and the just placing your layout over a bunch of broken up land masses. The firmness is extremely unfair considering the small size of the landing areas and the greens. The fairways are completely unedited and everything is thrown out there so rough and sloppy. I also feels like instead of playing a course, its just 18 separate holes with a clumsy effort to try and make each one as hard as possible.

Whites Golf Course
I could tell from the photos of the course that this course wasn't going to be approved. A bunch of straight, hardly edited fairways. Doesn't present any creativity or thoughtful game play opportunity.

CLIFFS OF DOVER
This is the 2nd course from Pete Cambas I've came across with the same problem. Pete builds some awesome looking courses, but there isn't a shred of natural feasability to them. It makes me thing that we need to have a separate listing for fantasy type courses. Here's the big paradox for me, the course is actually very awesome, but the guidelines dictate that there be some modicum of reality, and this is clearly a fantasy course. (Designer even says so in the course description.) What I fear is that by not approving it though, its gonna steer players away from checking it out, and this course definitely deserves some play. I really thought it was awesome how he managed to make a mountain look like a giant hippo when you were facing it from the 16th tee. The last time I didn't approve a course of his like this, someone superceded my review and designated it as approved, so if that should happen again, I understand.

FREEMAN VALLEY
Course editing too rough and still have too much evidence of autogen. Many of the greens were also too small and made claustraphobic by too much bunkering that was done in an awkward clumsy manner that ate too much into the green's surface.
