I recently posted Puntacana Corales and Marco Simone G&CC, some feedback as to why they weren't approved would be helpful please. Thanks. Hey stealin01 , Just looked at both these courses. Just an FYI - when doing RCR courses, you need to be very accurate to get approved, according to the guidelines here. I am not a course reviewer, but am a ranger, so I see all the tour courses that come thru. First off, I don't see a course "Puntacana Corales" in the game (2K23). There are two that are similar, "Corales G.C. Punta Cana" and "Puntacana - Corales". I played the second one, even though the designer name didn't match your "stealin01" screen name like Marco Simone did...the one I played is by a designer named in game as "John Mather". Hope this is the right one. "Puntacana - Corales" by "John Mather": your yardage looks pretty close, so that's good. Played a few holes from the black tees, pin 2, default conditions. Hole 1: there is blindness off the tee, as you cannot see the bunker on the left side of the fairway. The green is basically dead flat, with minimal sloping. Hole 2: more sculpting issues, as the greenside bunkers on a par-3 cannot be seen from the tee. Hole 3: this appears to be a repeating issue throughout the course - there is more blindness due to sculpting off the tee, as the water left of he fairway is not visible from the tee box. Hole 3 is again almost flat as a table, with no significant movement at all. Fairway-to-green transition is also strange. I think, three holes in, it's clear to see from these repeated factors that this course is not up to approval status, unfortunately. "Marco Simone G&CC" by Stealin 01: again, scorecard looks fine. Played black tees, pin 3, default conditions. Hole 1: sculpting is too aggressive in the fairway. Hit a tee shot to the center of the fairway and got pushed off into rough. From 105 yards away, I have zero view of the flag or green due to unintentional blindness. Green has almost no break. Hole 2: fairway is super narrow, and you have no view of any of the fairway bunkers from the tee, including the centerline hazard 250 yards away. This green now has red slopes cutting thru it in several places, in stark contrast to Hole 1. Hole 3: this one is a little better, but sculpting still obscures the green and greenside bunkers on your approach. And this green is again dead flat. I think the things that make these courses not approved are sculpting and unintentional blindness. Your greens are also in need of attention...some have no break, and others are overdone. The fact these are pretty high-profile courses, and one is a future Ryder Cup host, is going to make these issues stand out even more. Hope this helps, and good luck on future course builds!

Wailele Island GC - This was my top 5 Rookie Design Competition Course in 2k21 and was used in past tournaments. I was never happy with the planting on 18 because it blocked the view of the tee shot. There were also three holes on the back that had identical center of fairway bunkers and played similar. So, I imported it into 2K23, cleaned up the landscaping on 18, and moved the bunker on one of the back nine holes. I resubmitted it, and it was rejected. Any input as to why? i have heard the ported greens can be too slick, so maybe that is it? Hey,
don't resubmit courses, use the "Port to 2k23" feature instead.

axelvonfersen I wanted to make a few changes to it, as described in my post. That is why I did not simply port it. I have another course I have been working that I will be posting soon. I hope it will be a fun course for the TGC Tours.

I apologize for the late reply as I have been out of town, last weekend I posted Crescent Beach Club for review and it was rejected. I know all the boxes needed for acceptance were checked off, and there were a couple of holes with "drop in" tee shots but no more than any other courses I have submitted or official courses like Finau Fresh, Spyglass Hill, Pebble Beach or many others. The 4th hole is a fairytale hole with a go for the green chance on a par 4 or iron off the tee to an elevated green that could be considered a blind shot but the pin is visible from the tee and you can make reference points for the approachh as in real life. I have another course that was approved over 18 months ago (The Caverns @ Twin Peaks) with the same hole design as this 4th hole and similar "drop in" tee shots that follow the design of the course and fit in perfectly. I would appreciate a follow up on the reasoning for the rejection. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I would appreciate a follow up on the reasoning for the rejection. Thank you for your time and consideration. Hi steshan , I am not a reviewer, but do ranger courses for TGCT, so I see all the tour courses that get used in events. I figured I'd take a peek at your course and see if I can offer some feedback as to why this one was not accepted. Played from the black tees, pin 3, default conditions. Right off the bat on Hole 1 tee, I can see that sculpting and planting off the course is kind of incomplete. The mounds and land movement off to the left look unrealistic, and there are just trees there with no grasses or underplanting. The beach is similarly incomplete looking. It's essentially just a big bunker down the right, and there's a green patch of grass between the water and sand. Hole 2 is kind of similar to Hole 1. The sculpting near the green is aggressive...I'm 21 yards away from the hole and am almost 20 feet below it. Also, the beach runs into the end of the plot and looks really rough, to be honest: These kinds of things are going to get a "not approval" right at this point without needing to play any more. But I did keep playing my round to see what else I might be able to add... Hole 3...kind of a silly hole design, and all the rocks caused lag for me on my PS4. And I am not gonna lie...but the "twin towers" in the background are little strange for several reasons that are pretty self-explanatory. On Hole 4, I noticed that the green speeds are set to default Very Fast - 186. Setting green speeds at one of the default speeds limits flexibility of schedulers, as they can only use the set, default speeds. Consider using a speed that's somewhere in between two settings, like 145 or 160. Also, I am not sure I'd set my default speed at the highest in the game, when very fast greens like this are kind of brutal at times due to how the golf ball rolls in 2K23. Hole 5 is kind of an odd par-5 design, since the hole is just 470 yards or so. Hole 6...can't see the water hazard that sits beyond the fairway from the tee. Got more lag on Hole 7, with rocks, waterfalls, etc. all over the place. Hole 8 is basically a mirrored version of Hole 5, just a bit longer. More lag on this one, too. The green here had very little break on it at all. I made a 45-foot eagle putt without moving my aim marker. More lag on Hole 9. Large buildings are kind of cool, but throw off massive shadows. Hole 10 is the second par-3 that has a huge flower bed logo on it. It can be neat once, but it seems odd there'd be multiples of these on a course. Trees planted beyond the 11th green are all exactly the same height and placement. They look extremely fake and unnatural. Odd flower planting and sculpting of the land near the houses visible on Hole 12. The green here is just flat as can be. Hole 14 is a 3-shot par-5 that has really no strategic element to it. Hit driver, hit 3-wood, hit a pitch shot and your putting for birdie on a really flat green once again. Sculpting off to the right of the Hole 15 fairway is too drastic. There's another flower logo beyond this hole's green, too, and the green itself is gigantic. Hole 16's green now has yellow and orange in the 9-box grid around the cup. It's OK here because it's a short-4, but this is in stark contrast to the several greens here that have basically all green-colored slopes. Lag on Hole 17, probably due to the large rocks and dense planting beyond the green. Hole 18 is a 90-degree par-4 that's less than 400 yards long. It had major lag for me, due to the waterfalls and rocks again in the distance. Overall, I feel a lot of attention was spent on things off the course, and the on-course design suffered due to that. There are multiple flower beds and rock waterfalls and huge buildings...but no undergrowth planting along the tree line. The sculpting is very harsh in lots of places, and looks unrealistic. Many of the holes here feel the same...dogleg par-5s, dogleg par-4s, and even the par-3s had similar styles. And then some greens were flat as a table, while others had lots and lots of red slopes. Just a little bit of inconsistency here. Lastly, I think the beach on the first few holes made this immediately a "not approved" course...it looks a bit sloppy and could have used more care and planning to make it work much better.

I appreciate the feedback, as a fellow designer I know you understand that unfortunately with the limitations of the designer feature it is difficult to create boundries that are completely real as the edges of the map do not adjust properly while scuplting and trying to create a beach scene that would extend north or south of your vision point (crescent shaped) does not work. As for the sculpting of the beach that is necessary in real life otherwise you need rocks (Pebble Beach style) to stop the tidal surges you get with high and low tide. In order to try and make this section of the course appear realistic with the limited offerings of the designer (99% planting) I had to go with the higher beach flowing down to the water rather than incorporating rocks/seawalls. I look forward to anything else you find while finishing the course. I am off on the motorcycle for the remainder of the day. Good luck out there and happy swinging.

Hi,
I recently submitted 'Harbour Links' and it is currently showing on my Designer page as 'new'.
I was interested if it had been reviewed yet?
Many thanks.
