I don't know how you guys do this, Kudo's to you all. Thanks Bryan. In my case it's easy, I like the game, and I like this community. That's a way of contributing. Sometimes it's hard to say a decent course "no", but someone has to do it I thin

Bow River - Not Approved
A good deal of work appeared to go into the surroundings of the course and it played fine.
Issues were it was mostly straight regular shapes but down for fairways greens. The symatry of fairway and rough was off all over the course. Some fairways were at 45 degree angles. Some holes had mounds infront of tee boxes .
A personal thing also is the Alpine theme isn't the prettiest so flipping to Swiss might be a good idea.
Get them smooth brushes out and take more time over the sculpting. As I say in all my refusals there is loads of videos on YouTube and the forum to help you.
I look forward to your next submission .

How many courses get submitted daily on average?? It ebbs and flows I'd say approx 2 a day. Some weeks get 5 courses others can get 30.

This weekend was the deadline for two different course design competitions - the TGCTLive Olympics Design Contest and the HB Studios Rookie Design Contest - so there's probably a higher-than-usual workload for course reviewers.

Fairbanks National (Fairbanks, Alaska) - Not Approved I can't approve this course, and it's a shame, because I see a lot of potential in the design. I loved the bunkering, mainly in the fairways, very creative. For sure it should've been given more sculpting, but some of the ideas are very nice. The things that took me to not approving the course are the following: Proportions. The greens are ridiculously small taking in consideration the length of the shots required to get there. Some of the bunkers are placed carelessly: There is a short par 5. The closest trim of fairway to the green is around 200 yards away. There is no way to play that hole against the wind, and if you think that the green is 20 yards wide per around 15 yards deep... There are mounds in front of some of the tees. If the designer reads this I want to tell him mainly to keep on designing, he has some very good ideas. But also to study the sizes of the surfaces in the outstanding courses out there, and let the GNCD do the less posible things for you, that will push your designs miles away from where they are now. Thanks for sharing, and for your time!

Thanks for the feedback! Honestly, I designed it two months ago and really didn't want to do anything else with it, so I just (carelessly) published it. Same thing with San Antonio Riverwalk- I just needed a break from the boreal theme and didn't want to edit. Next course will be so much better though... Country Club at Wichita Falls and then (if I can figure it out) I will recreate some courses around Dayton and Columbus. Till next time! (Hopefully the falls will be complete in about 2-3 weeks)

Gray National Golf Club Ontario - Not approved
If you sum up the amount of autogenerated elements in the course and the senseless slopes in the greens, I feel this course can't be approved

Maybe the Scarlet course from OSU too. :-) Eaglesticks would be another one I'd like to see.

I was actually planning on doing Scarlet at OSU. I will be planning on getting some stuff with it when I go to my brother in law's house in a few weeks for the Memorial. I am also going to the Senior Open so I'll do Scioto. The only obstacle is actually figuring out the RCR measurements... I was working at a hole at my brother in law's course and it ended 90 yards shorter than the real one (see "RCR Help" post)
