Hey, just treading lightly in here. Rumor a few posts back had this place labelled a toxic community!!
Think I've been working on a unique idea for a course that may haven't been done before. I know it will be bordering on a "fantasy" course but hoping with the right execution I'll be able to keep it out of that category.
Cheers fellas.

Whoa! Thought I caught a whiff of anger and disenchantment with this fine community we have here. Hmm, maybe not. Just had to check in, didn't want to miss anything! Keep up the great work guys!

New Course by Jerry Smith - Not Approved.
The reasons? indeed there's only one. Give the course a name please.
Other than that, the course is really nice to play, despite having a few bunkers surrounded by up to three types of textures.

Did you play through the desert on a course with no name... There were tees and greens, so I roughly knew what to do

The Great Lakes CC - Not Approved
I walked onto the first tee box and stood over my drive the first issue was I was standing at a 45 degree angle I looked up the fairway that was unreasonably skinny with flat bunkers that were dissecting all cuts of grass looked very messy . I hit my tee shot that no surprise flew off dead right into the trees.
My round didn't go any further
I recommend to the designer please play more courses and watch videos by the many great designers to gain some knowledge before diving back into the GNCD.

The Old Fir - Rejected.
I don't find any course under that name, so I hope the designer can tell me, here or vía PM what's course's actual name. Then i will give the course a proper review

Ti Amo Lei - Not Approved
This course shows all the features of the auto-gen courses.
Mounds right in front of the tees, unsculpted bunkers dissecting all types of terrain, unnatural slopes...
I'd suggest the designer to reduce everything (greens, hazards, fairways, roughs, tees...) to 0 and start with a blank land plot. Much more work, but the results are much better

Will take me a while to finish the back, but curious if 9 hole submissions are allowed? I assume no so I didn't post it. If anyone wants to try it out I have a thread on other forum: Ashford Pines Golf Club (front 9) www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php?topic=15239.0

I would suggest posting in the under construction thread and looking for feedback there.

Clearwater Bay at Dove National - Not Approved Despite the fact that this course has seen quite a few time of work in the GNCD, I don't consider it good enough to be in the database. There are a few details that detract me from doing so. These details are easy to solve, but they are key aspects in terms of playability and aesthetics in a golf course. The course lacks consistency in terms of the layout of the fairways. Sometimes they have first cut, sometimes they are laying straight over the base terrain, sometimes they are "cut" by bunkers.... In this area there is not a "good" formula, but in my opinion there are two things that should be avoided. Inconsistency and laying the fairways in the base terrain: Another thing that I saw was the planting. In nature the plants and trees grow at different paces, so they have different sizes: When planting the course, rotate and change the size of the plants, they will look natural, but as seen in the above pic, if they all are the same exact size, you don't see that as something natural. Also, I'd like to suggest the designer a couple of things. First, the edges of the fairways should be smoothed with the fuzzy rounded blue brush, and also, when placing the first cut try to make it as parallel as posible to the fairway, by using the exact same brush, in the exact same size, but changing the texture. Make a few clicks, and voilà, your first cut will look much better. Thanks for the time, and don't give up, I see clearly you can do really nice courses

North Queensland Inland Course - Not Approved
The terrain work in the work is poor, the elevations of the terrain are unrealistic, and it seems that no smoothing has been applied at all.
The bunkers haver received very little sculpting, and in addition, there are a few tees blocked by mounds just in front of them
