Country Clubs - POST YOUR IDEAS!!

On the topic of tournaments within the club, obviously it would be entirely up to the club themselves but here we have weekly competitions called swindles. Players have a unique swindle handicap that gets adjusted depending on if they win or lose basically, and the groups often play mini games within their fourball. Typically these are for small amounts of money, but that doesn't matter. Swindles would be relatively easy to organise, and in fact I'm dangerously close to starting up a country club style group once I publish my new course.

COUNTRY CLUBS

Features might include:

* Ability to be a part of a small club of players (same console) that you can play club tourneys with and get to know better.
* Daily and weekly tournaments that can be played for club "money" & bragging rights
* The API will allow us to quickly and easily show the results of the these tournaments.
* Could have club tournaments such as (Club Championship, Member-Guest (where you invite someone to play with you), Match Play Tourney, etc)
* We could have the Tavistock cup where the best clubs will go at it in a end of the year tournament just like in real life.
* Pick your "home" course which could end up being your Club Name ( aka Celebration Cove Golf Club, and when you challenge others to a country club duel, the other club has to play at your club)
* Internal Club ladder that will let you challenge other members of your club and do it ladder style.
* Club scoring records for any official tourney (Lowest Score, # of birdies,etc)
* All aces logged at your club for any official club tourney
* Handicapped tourneys at your club.
* An official application to get into the club that the club board members have to approve for a member to gain access.
* A profile page where only the members of your club could gain personal access (pics, bio,etc)

These are just of a few of my own ideas. I would love to hear yours as well. I think this could be a great feature for our site, especially on the social side and to give folks something to do in their downtime!

GREAT IDEAS!!! love them all and hopefully this comes soon! I loved the country club feature in the old tiger woods games. Play against people in your club to see who will be head pro and assistant pro ect. This sounds great!

I absolutely love the CC idea and think it will make the off season a ton of fun. The possibilities for different play are most intriguing -- especially to utilize things like match play and even the Stableford system.

I don't know many of you and creating this sense of community through the CC and friendly competitions is a fantastic thing. I'm definitely in and look forward to becoming a member somewhere.

Hi. I joined tgctours recently. I like the idea of joining a clubhouse to play regularly on the same course with largely the same people.
A couple of thoughts on courses. Personally I'd like to be in a club attached to a representation of a RL British links.
But perhaps clubs could just decide on a theme of course, or maybe a favorite designer? The club could change course every so often to a style that the members preferred, and they'd know what they were getting (in terms of course) when they joined.

Any thoughts on platform specific country clubs?

Doesn't seem like anyone had mentioned this idea. I know the whole idea of what we're doing at tgct is to bring all three platforms together. My thought is that if they were platform specific, we could actually play with our fellow country club members.

Depends on how far you go in say Fed Ex or Race for Dubai.  I think the final events are in November.  Players CHampionship starts in January, so 6-7 weeks I would guess.

I think country clubs should have as much parity as possible. For example, Max 8 players from Euro / PGA. Max 4 Web Players. Max 8 CC A, B, C Players. Max 8 D, E, Z players. Max players per club of say 25 (that list above is 28 as a max). I think players advertise openings in thier club, or people approach clubs they may want to join.
