I must approve the dress code at any clubs on my courses.
They will all be the same though:
Pink Tartan knee high socks
Sleeveless Cashmere pullovers with an iron on decal of any muppet of your choice
Underarmor boxer briefs that are slightly too small
Lime green culottes or Camouflage Lederhosen
Sandals
a Jaunty hat of your choice as long as it's cocked to the left on all tee shots.

Not had a chance to catch up on all of this thread so may be repeating ideas. But I like the idea of releasing a new course and just adding an event in order to showcase it. I.e a little 36 hole comp? Would be a better way of getting plays. Would show as an unofficial event played at that course on the course page, and courses with open events running could be shown on course listings?
I like the idea of being able to host in a chosen format including some unusual formats such as eclectic (lowest round on course comprised of the best score on each hope over X rounds), or an evil inverted version where worse score counts.
Love a lot of these ideas. My vote would be for random allocation of members to CC only if you wish to be randomly assigned or you want to add X random slots for random members to fill. Ie group of 3 could offer up a couple more spaces but still be in a CC together.

Still don't like the idea of random selection.
Edit: I've been thinking about this and I have changed my mind haha. I would support random selection as it's the best for us all not just me haha

Still don't get why I would want to get grouped in with a bunch of random people in a club I may not even want to be a member at? Main purpose of the CCs should be community, course appreciation, friendly competition internal to the club and finally some friendly events between CCs? Or? |

I will now accept bribes to be in your country club. I know I know...it's hard to imagine being in any kind of public group and associated with me... but it can happen. It just takes money. Gobs and gobs of money all thrown at me. Also maybe a few tears and a little begging. But it is a real possibility! Don't let this opportunity pass you by!
Also...maybe I please be in a club you guys? Cmon guys...seriously guys...

To be honest I wouldn't mind what ever happens. If that means choosing who you go with or being randomly drawn then so be it.
I am just confusing myself haha

For initial setup I am thinking along the lines of this... Initially there will be 20 Country Clubs, each CC will be allocated a Club Champion which will be the top 20 players in the WGR. There will then be a draft which will run on a pick by pick basis until each CC has 20 founding members, internally a name should decide upon at this time...... Something like this will be fair and spread the talent around. From here... The Club Champion can be challenged for their position internally or externally at anytime at the discretion of the Club Champion, each Club Champion will however be required to atleast compete in one challenge a month internally for club bragging rights..... With my way of thinking initially the top 20 will be split up but after some time there will be the opportunity for those 20 to find the CC that they would most like to be on, either by challenging another Club Champion for their position at their club,or by winning another Clubs weekly tournament and applying for membership that way, but only if they have lost their initial Club Champion status as a Club Champion can't abandon their position as Club Champion. Fundamentally IMO there should be weekly Club tourneys for this nature that any Club Member may choose to play in. And internally each CC can host as many or as few tourneys as they like. Something like this I think could work well. Liking a lot of the suggestions so far and eager for them to tee off. Pardon the pun  Will their be a page on the TGCTours website with Club and Member listings? Thinking yes. I love the idea of a home course and I think that initially when a name is decided upon for each club that they also ballot a home course with each member putting forward a course of their choosing and a subsequent internal vote where you can't vote for your own submission obviously. What timeframe are we looking at before the CCs start? To add further anyone who missed out on selection for a founding member position may apply at anytime to a a Club Champion for acceptance. IMO there should be no cap to any Club's size and no requirement to recruit any more from the original 20. Think this could create a nice dynamic for exclusive clubs and the not so much and offer some kind of prestige maybe. |

Is there a place (room) on these forums for a private thread/folder for each CC?
Maybe also a common public CC thread/forum for all CCs to see where challenges, ideas, and the like could be shared.
