Country Clubs - POST YOUR IDEAS!!

Hey all!

As the season is over halfway through now and we embark on the off season -- I wanted to take the time to tell you about a new feature that we want to add:

COUNTRY CLUBS

Features might include:

* Ability to be a part of a small club of players (same console) that you can play club tourneys with and get to know better.
* Daily and weekly tournaments that can be played for club "money" & bragging rights
* The API will allow us to quickly and easily show the results of the these tournaments.
* Could have club tournaments such as (Club Championship, Member-Guest (where you invite someone to play with you), Match Play Tourney, etc)
* We could have the Tavistock cup where the best clubs will go at it in a end of the year tournament just like in real life.
* Pick your "home" course which could end up being your Club Name ( aka Celebration Cove Golf Club, and when you challenge others to a country club duel, the other club has to play at your club)
* Internal Club ladder that will let you challenge other members of your club and do it ladder style.
* Club scoring records for any official tourney (Lowest Score, # of birdies,etc)
* All aces logged at your club for any official club tourney
* Handicapped tourneys at your club.
* An official application to get into the club that the club board members have to approve for a member to gain access.
* A profile page where only the members of your club could gain personal access (pics, bio,etc)

These are just of a few of my own ideas. I would love to hear yours as well. I think this could be a great feature for our site, especially on the social side and to give folks something to do in their downtime!

Is this from TCGT or in game feature?

Why I would like to see is competitions Vs other clubs. For example each club selects 5 players for a 5 Vs 5 matchplay competition. Each victory = 1 point.

We just to do this with FIFA, and it was great fun.

I'm curious how this will be done with the numerous tours and then the CC levels? Would the clubs be locked to a certain tour, or even a certain CC level? Or maybe tied to WGR?

The possibilities... I like the idea here!

I think clubs should have all sorts of players, PGA-Euro, Web and CC mixed in together.

so we do a draft. it would only take a month to draft all the TGCT members.

An idea for something like this, in a more single player kinda thing but that we could relate to the country clubs somehow (reputation points? or something like that) is this:

What I like from golf games is competing live with others. I would love to have a separate completion along the week to practice and compete.

For example some sort of ladder, where people online could look for a rival to play with. Go and play live a match play game (or even stroke, doesn't matter) in one the weeks courses selected. That way you get to practice the courses for the week, socialize, play with better players and learn while u play with them and we wont go crazy waiting for the next week tours event

For me. I go crazy waiting for the next tour tournament but I also would love to have a more online competition. Playing live with others is awesome. Wish it would be easier to do (one of the reasons I will also play a bit of the PGA tour game).

2 things, I love this idea especially CC Vs. CC! It might help if each CC had Flights A-C if having mixed players from all the Tours (that's what my home course men's club does). Perhaps having alternate shot, stableford, or best ball rounds could also help with mixed players in the same CC. Playing at each Others CC would be fun (like Home advantage if you host). Second, this is my first year on the Tour and just joined in June. How long is the off-season? Because as it is I cant stop playing.

I don't like the idea of a draft of players. I feel like people should be able to start and recruit for their own Country Club. To promote more country clubs being created and joined, it may be worth looking into setting a cap on how many members a CC could have at a given time, say 20.

In my opinion, more country clubs means more chances for players of all skill levels to compete in CC events.

I really like this idea - we could have a cap on the max number of members with a certain amount being pro (PGA, Euro, Web) and a certain amount being from Challenge Circuit with a grey area inbetween for guys getting promoted/demoted

Ie; 25 player cap

10 from pro
10 from challenge
5 from either

So a max of 15 pro or 15 challenge along with a max 25 player cap


Something like that.
