Do you earn virtual currency after you reach level 50? If not, how do you pay for additional fittings that you get along the way? Lately I've hardly gotten any VS at all (at level 49) and I don't see how I pay for fittings that I get in order to equip them. If that's the case, I'm going to be stuck at the skill level I'm currently at.

If that's the case, I'm going to be stuck at the skill level I'm currently at. You continue to get vc at the same rate once you get to level 50. The trick at this stage is to be very choosy about what you spend it on. Over time you'll spend less and so build up a stash but it is quite hard to begin with. Don't pay for any fittings you don't really want! And that nice shirt from the shop can wait!

A quick update
I currently have 156 hours in this game. I have yet to break par.
Here's where my game stands
Off The Tee- Improved but inconsistent. Even with timing at 100, I'll have a few perfect or near perfect shots and then I'll have a very fast or very slow drive that ends up leaving me somewhere really bad and I end up with a double or even triple bogey for the hole. I'll have 2 or 3 of these a round. That's a good 6 to 8 over par for these holes just because of my tee shots.
Mid Range Game - Timing for woods and irons around 80 so not nearly as good. So my mid range game is poor to fair. Sometimes I'll have a good shot but they are rare. Having to hit out of the rough or sand 6 to 8 holes a game doesn't help.
Short Game - One of the two things that saves me some strokes. Around the green I have a highlight reel that is quite impressive. Have saved many bogeys because of this. Unfortunately, I rarely birdie because of the poor shots leading up to my short pitches and chips onto the green.
Putting - Probably the best part of my game but not perfect. I'll still leave a thirty foot putt 1 or 2 feet short or long. Most short putts are in though.
I have to build up my timing on my mid range game. I also need to get some power from somewhere because even on my perfect shots I'm hitting 275 off the tee and 241 with a 3 wood. The long holes kill me.

Hey all.
New guy here from Muskoka Ontario Canada. Finally got around to tinkering with the Course designer. Have a few courses I’m working on; recently published a Muskoka-inspired course, and have a few more coming. ‘Fairways at Muskoka Lakes’ is up on 2k21 and is currently getting tweaked and ready for 2k23.
Anyone here making real courses from Ontario???
Happy Golfing!

Hello my name is Adam Strzalkowski. 40 years old playing golf is a great hobby of mine. Playing to almost scratch. I started creating courses ack on a game called Nicklaus golf probably back in 2000 or so. I love designing it’s a passion and so much enjoyment to create an environment. I have created around 100 courses but have never finished one due to planting is a continuous struggle. I am really look for someone to help. B101 is my favorite and watch all his videos but I seek all the rest and they create all the environments created. Is anyone available to help please reach out.

I don't recall, what platform are you playing on? If PC, what controller?
I rarely hit perfects but I mostly hit mild fasts or slows (if not perfect). I definitely hit severe slows or fasts, but I usually know it before I even look at the feedback.
Timing is the same for all the clubs except pitch shots (imo) and putting (no timing). I do everything I can so as not to hit a partial. I virtually never do by adding/subtracting loft or ball spin. I have it all mapped out but really good players just know. If you have not watched Kara's CC walk-through, she does a good job explaining her thinking and she uses shaping to lengthen or shorten shots all the time.

Someone please help me understand how this is possible because this happens to me a lot and it drives me crazy. Here's a specific example.
I'm in the heavy rough. The lie percentage is between 63% and 72%. The pin distance is 150 yards away. If at best the shot is going 72% of the max club distance, then in order to hit the ball 150 yards I need a club that is going to reach 208 yards on a flat fairway. That's just basic math. So I get out my 3 iron that's about 210 yards. I hit the ball and it lands, on the fly, 220 yards away. How is that physically possible out of the heavy rough?
Then there are times I'll take the same shot and the ball will go 100 yards. How can a 210 yard club at max go only 100 yards when all else is equal, meaning same timing and lie percentage?
It makes it absolutely impossible to plan a shot. It's a total crap shoot.
So will somebody explain to me how this happens> Because it makes no logical sense to me.

I’d probably open a thread in General/Driving range as not a lot of people will come in here looking for game tips, only to introduce themselves.

New to the game and forums. Played the original 2 GC games, think I dabbled in 2k21 when it was on ps plus? But decided to buy 2k23 this year after enjoying a bit of EAs PGA Tour with a buddy. I play too many shooters to have decent analog sticks so I tend to stick to 3-click. They haven't half made it a chore in this game though. Especially on the higher difficulties.
I've signed up and I'm learning as I go!

Thanks PGA 2k23 is the one they're currently playing for the tour here. For me it was a bit of a learning curve but I'm starting to show some significant improvement. IMO, it's a huge step up from the original Golf Club. Welcome back.

Thought what the hell and dived straight in to qualifying and after my first round that consisted of 3 pars, 2 birdies, I finished the round 26+ 😂 That’s some curve lol! Still enjoyed it though.

Hello, Jason here, mid 40s from Washington state USA. Been playing golf games since Leaderboard on the Commodore 64 and Golf on the original GameBoy, but never been one for the game IRL.
Hadn't played a golf game in a while but I got PGA 2K21 in a bundle a while back and started it up a few months ago. About 50 hours in I hit an ace, first one I can remember in all these years playing different games on different platforms. Then I saw 2K23 on a deep sale and decided to go for it since I could cross-play with my friend on the other coast who got it on his Xbox. He is actually the same guy who introduced me to those C64 golf games way back in the day. Decades may pass but some things never really change.
Currently closing in on 300 hours on 2k23 on the PC. Bulk of that was in MyCareer with Pro swing difficulty but the bulk of the assists off so difficulty multiplier for XP is 1.75x. Then 2K issued a patch that broke that mode temporarily. Since then I have mixed in some ranked matches, both solo and duos with my friend. They're a fun way to pass the time and can get quite dramatic at times. I do wish there were better rewards and ways to interact other than voice chat but it's a pretty good package all in all.
Read about TGC Tours and it seemed like the next logical step up. It's a good way to find some really nice courses to play too. First four rounds were hit and miss for me this week so I'm looking forward to the challenge of improving enough to earn a card.
