We have decided to keep the score entry mainly so we don't have a single point of failure. Plus I agree with a lot of the guys, it does make it feel more authentic. We will use the API for the automated verification process. Your score will appear on the leaderboard after properly verified via the API. Here is question then. If I enter my scores incorrectly or choose NOT to input my scores manually, won't the API automated verification process pick this up and correct it? If so, is it then not possible for people to choose to NOT enter manually and let the API do it on their behalf. It would allow those that want the "authenticity" to have it and those that don't, get their rounds credited too? |

Hopefully this will stop any issues that were had during the Masters tournament and potential cheating.

THIS IS AWESOME! COURSE STATS PAGE! NUMBER OF BIRDIES, PARS, ETC PER HOLE! GIR AND FIR PER HOLE AS WELL? PUTT STATS! (not per hole?) Retroactive data available? All older tournaments populated and true season stats possible? Yes, we will be able to go back and grab data for every tournament! Are you kidding me? Oh lord... it's even getting better. |

Wowsa. I bought this game about 2 months ago waiting on the "other game" to release. Now im going to cancel my preorder! Hb should have you guys on their payroll! As far as im concerned this site makes the game.

I'm fairly new to this whole TGCtour scene, but it seems like every time I log in to this site there is some news that is going to make the whole experience even better than before! All this stats talk sounds pretty awesome, and although I do enjoy the manual process of recording scores, I'll fully respect whatever decision is made to make the lives of the guys running it as easy as possible.

I could be way off base, but wouldn't it make sense to do away with the "signing scorecard" because it would allow a tour with 4 different courses/pin locations to be set up as a single event?

My thinking is you would need the tour to be set up as a single event for the stat tracking for that event.

Just a few clarifications...
1) Longest Putt is the longest putt made, not the longest distance of a putt I attempted, correct?
2) Longest hole-out is in yards, correct?

2) no, I am convinced it is in metres, the data shown on The Golf Club in game leaderboards is labelled yards but is definitively metres, so if Tim is just pulling that data and thinking it is yards because HB have labelled it that way then it is WRONG.
