Yea, that info is already there, but as James states, it's doesn't matter after the next update -- the wind issue is fixed.
The cool thing I can tell you is who has the lowest scoring average in the shortest duration around the course. :-)

I would like to put something out there that might need some discussion over.
Score entry, signing a scorecard.
Is it a possibility that we could keep this part of our routine the same?
We play our rounds, we record our score on a piece of paper after looking at our score on screen three times to make sure it's correct, we wait until Monday morning, and then we enter our scores manually on the site.
I am one that respects this exercise. I feel like the human error element of signing a scorecard with the wrong score is something that keeps this whole thing we're doing here a real deal. We all want to make sure we enter and sign our scorecards correctly. If we lose the human error element, we lose a little bit of the importance of it all.

Although someone will then have to go through and check all the scores match up. I'm happy to give away that bit of realism to reduce the workload of the staff.

I totally agree with that. I'm just wondering if there's a way for keep that part but yet have a system that verifies the scores. An automatic way to verify. I'm not a computer guy so I honestly have no idea.

Yes, we could still do this.. Let me think on it. Actually this makes it easier to do it this way. Because then you just use the API as the verification process, but still don't post the score until the player signs the card.
I need to hear other thoughts on what the core admin team thinks. I could possibly be swayed with this though. Good idea for discussion.

I would suggest keeping Manual Scorecard entry for a "Plan B" at all times. My initial reasons:
a) They turned the global wind off, they could do this with the API. b) Server issues could throw things off, and we should always never assume/guarantee that we can recover prior information. c) Glitches still happen in this game, and we don't have a certainty if the "18th Hole Glitch" could affect API data.
I'm sure there's others, but that is what's off the top of my head.

Application Program Interface When the wife saw the words 'big' and 'coming soon' in the title followed by the abbreviation 'API' the silly woman assumed I was on a site about Anal Penetrative Intercourse and looked at me in horror so thank you for putting her straight! Edit: Looking back I guess my Avatar gave her a legitimate reason to think that...

This is great news!! I can't wait to see what comes from this. Super exciting!
I'm more than happy to lend a hand with the data massaging/analysis if you have any tasks you need to delegate. I work with databases/dashboards/reporting all day so that would be right up my wheelhouse.

Id be happy to keep the manual entry of scores on the site. Otherwise admin wise would you not need to filter out the players who play the tour but are not on here? This would stop you having to do this. Also with deadlines for cuts, if you made it all automatic would it not mean you would need to grab the information from leaderboards bang on the cut time?

I 100% believe that we still should sign our scorecards as is done IRL. That is one of the most honorable and sacred aspects to this game, our final verification of our golf match as to the truth and testimony that it is correct.

Man, I don't know where to start except the guys over at HB Studios blow me away more and more each day. For them to take the time to write an API for public consumption to get to the raw data is something that I have only dreamed of. But these guys went and did it. There is no question that we picked the right golf game when we decided to take on this venture, and there is no question in my mind it will continue to blow away the competition. Now -- what do we get with this new API:1. All scores. - This means no more having to enter your scores. - This means no more screwing up entering your scores. - This means no more admin having to validate/verify 1000+ scores each week. - This means guys that play bad rounds and decide not to post their scores to keep their average up will be exposed :-) 2. Hole by Hole scores. - This means we can now show Scorecards on the site for any round. ie: espn.go.com/golf/player/scorecards/_/id/462/tiger-woods - This means we can show which holes played the easiest/hardest in a given tournament. - This means we can compare scorecards now and do true match play and Ryder/President's Cups. 3. We get extra stats - Total Putts per round - Longest Drive - Longest Hole Out - Longest Putt - GIR for the Tourney - FIR for the tourney - Restart count - Start of Round, End of Round Again a HUGE THANKS to the awesome developers at HB Studios for continuing to support this community and our tour. You guys rock! As far as a timeline for this.. I shouldn't take me more than a week or two to get this up, tested and live. I hope to have it in by the end of July. Thanks, Tim I've been one of the biggest lobbyists for this since Day 1... maybe even before Day 1 when I think about it, when the beta was still going on before Early Access. I'm so glad it's finally coming into play. Props and kudos to everyone involved with making this happen. The big question is, once this is in place, what are you guys going to do with all your free time? haha
