I also would like to keep the process of manually signing the scorecard. As stated earlier you write it down, check 3 or 4 times that it is correct, wait to sign the scorecard and still hope it is right.

As someone in the SaaS industry and a manager of software developers, this is huge and amazingly awesome by HB. Leveraging an API is incredibly powerful. Well done and can't wait to see the results.

This is absolutely amazing! More to look forward to. When reading this I'm also playing back the HB Studio stream with their producer and he has confirmed wind fix patch will be submitted to Sony soon. Not only will the issue with lag be fixed but the direction issue has also been resolved. A great time for TGCTours and HBS. Love it! Lag, as in when I'm playing with a friend and it takes a minute or two sometimes more of watching him hover over his ball before he swings? They're fixing that? That's probably my only complaint with the game. Hope they keep up the good work. Loving these tournaments.

I can see the greater good (and safety backup) of having members still submit scores. One thing that everyone might as well get used to now is making sure your gamertags ingame match (identically) what you have entered on your TGC Tours profile - there are many people now that have similar but not exact gamertags.

This is some seriously good news! I'm so glad I gave this game a second chance after behaving like a pansy. Looking forward to this big time.

Man, I don't know where to start except the guys over at HB Studios blow me away more and more each day. For them to take the time to write an API for public consumption to get to the raw data is something that I have only dreamed of. But these guys went and did it. There is no question that we picked the right golf game when we decided to take on this venture, and there is no question in my mind it will continue to blow away the competition. Now -- what do we get with this new API:1. All scores. - This means no more having to enter your scores. - This means no more screwing up entering your scores. - This means no more admin having to validate/verify 1000+ scores each week. - This means guys that play bad rounds and decide not to post their scores to keep their average up will be exposed :-) 2. Hole by Hole scores. - This means we can now show Scorecards on the site for any round. ie: espn.go.com/golf/player/scorecards/_/id/462/tiger-woods - This means we can show which holes played the easiest/hardest in a given tournament. - This means we can compare scorecards now and do true match play and Ryder/President's Cups. 3. We get extra stats - Total Putts per round - Longest Drive - Longest Hole Out - Longest Putt - GIR for the Tourney - FIR for the tourney - Restart count - Start of Round, End of Round Again a HUGE THANKS to the awesome developers at HB Studios for continuing to support this community and our tour. You guys rock! As far as a timeline for this.. I shouldn't take me more than a week or two to get this up, tested and live. I hope to have it in by the end of July. Thanks, Tim Are the tourney marshals still going to be doing spotchecks? Also are titan ones people are using on TGC going to be able to get detected to keep this as fair as possible?

GREAT NEWS - I'm especially happy for you guys (the administrators) as this will take a huge workload from you, and give you more family/personal time. Can't say how appreciative I am of your efforts and the quality of the work that you have done and will continue to do.
THANK YOU for all you've done in developing and growing TGC tours, I'm proud to be a member of such a fine organization.

Would also want to keep the score-card signing as it is a great part of the game of golf that you attest your score and stand by it. Not like they have to do it on the real tours, but its still being done.
Just a core part of the game.

I'm pretty sure they do it on the real tours.

Yeah - unclear from me. Meant that they do it even though its not nessecary.

I am in favour of automatically having scores submitted. While I do understand the desire to keep things as they are as some have stated in previous posts, I am a fan because I am lazy. I get that "signing" a card adds some authenticity, for the sake of ease and accuracy, I just say hey, let the computer do it. For the same reason I don't manually calculate the stats that having the API allows for, I say auto enter is the way to go, especially since this has been one of the reasons always stated when the API discussion comes up, it allows for auto score entry.

I'm okay with manually entering but can we still do something for people who score and don't sign their cards if they have a bad round?
Is the shot type and lie recorded? Would you be able to use it to automatically check for chipping on the green?
