As much as we might think that HB and/or 2K should sponsor us because they need us, IMHO we are just a happy accident for 2K that we are here. In fact, we are lucky that Tiger jumped on board otherwise the golf franchise may not exist. I think sponsoring TGCT would be a small but significant boon for 2K, would make them look good, but doubt they would go down that road for many complicated reasons. That leaves it up to the TGCT faithful to pony up. The numbers estimate 1500 playing the tours, how many of those would disappear if they saw even a $10 price tag for the site? People are cheap, especially casuals, and they already plopped down a chunk of cash for the game...NOW you want them to PAY for this? We know the value, but casuals don't unless they are looking for community. That leaves us to voluntary donations. That system will always have freeloaders, but maybe the TGCT forum faithful can get the site over the hump. I put in a lump donation a few weeks ago but setting up a reoccurring for a smaller amount will be an easier pill to swallow AND help keep the fun flowing here. Onward TGCT minions, let's keep this site going! Has anyone here approached HB/2K with this? Or has it fallen on deaf ears over there? Much as it would be nice to have some of that 2K/HB cash injected into TGCTours, the idea makes me nervous. I mean, how much influence or even control would they want if they were sponsoring it? Would they want to make changes? I fear they would, and I doubt they would be for the benefit of TGCTours or the players as much as for 2K/HB themselves, as I wouldn't be shocked if they'd want to monetize it. So, on balance I think I'm more comfortable with Doyley and the team retaining as much independence as they can, despite the annual financial struggle. |

Just pushed myself up to silver seasonal donor, how do I get one of those nice donor ribbons above my avatar? While it may not work this way anymore because I don't know how it is delegated anymore to who gives them out, in the past I just add a Doyley tag to my post.  YMMV |

What a great community to pull it together and meet the donations goal! Thanks to everyone that has donated and also to those who can’t but still support the tours!
Edit: Forgot to give thanks most importantly to the admin that dedicate there time to keep this going!

Did already donate for this year and will drop some more coin in to the kitty to keep the fun alive. Small price to pay for the enjoyment we get. Would be good to see some of the freeloaders chip in.  |

Honestly with all the players on tour - if there was a 'required' donation of 5 per person - goal would be easily met..

Would be interesting to see on the leaderboards a donation column with a simple tick to see who the 148 individuals who have donated are.

Being an aging, less skilled, Xbox player condemned to the alphabet soup CC abyss, I would like to know if any changes are planned for CC?
The largest player base is treated like an afterthought. Over 1,000+ players all playing the same course. And no majors.
Cruise time. I'll check to see if this site's still up and running when we get back.
