i am not techno wise i just test my internet speed so i guess it's ping just that i noticed when i play below my par the latency number is high most probably just me I just did a ping test of my internet. I have 7 ms at the moment , so this is pretty good for online gaming. I read a lot of people's posts on here complaining about servers. 99% of the time my experience has been great. I did have a couple of rounds where the game was a hitching mess but that's it. One thing I do find that the game does sometimes is it resets tempo to stock tempo after a patch and I am hitting every shot too fast. Recalibrating fixes it but it is annoying having to do that.

from how you talk about it...it looks like a magical item, which transforms a player from challenge to elite, my timing is bad...can it be transformed by this gamepad? I use DS5 on PC, I can shoot -14...but also -4 -5 on the same day...which is equivalent to losing all the advantage scored in the previous round... It is transformative from an Xbox perspective and it is night and day better than an official Xbox controller on PC for this game also, well any game really from my experience. The DS5 is a great controller so it is not a leap above that but my tempo is better with the Razer controller from just a few hours of using it. Will it be better for you? the thing is you'll never know till you try using it. My experience is the Razer is far better for PC than the MS controller. I’ve not tried the DS as they’ve put the left stick in the wrong place. My swing path has always been decent so the extra sensitivity of the Razer hasn’t been a massive issue but the tempo gain has been enough to drag me up from mid to lower CC to Elite. All XBoxers and PCers ever wanted was a level playing field and the Razer is about as close as we’re going to get. I’m absolutely loving seeing the XBoxers finally climbing to their rightful place in the hierarchy.

I’m absolutely loving seeing the XBoxers finally climbing to their rightful place in the hierarchy. As someone that plays the game with my right thumb the move from Xbox controller to originally the DS4 was quite an easy one. First thing I noticed was the the thumb stick is much more sensitive than the Xbox controller but it also felt way more responsive for tempo/timing. The tempo is just more accurate as stick speed is more accurately recorded especially at faster speeds. In the video below at 17:00 you can see the test done here by spinning the controller stick around in a circle consistently. The Playstation controller draws a perfect circle the Xbox controller is just all over the place and looks nothing like a circle. I think Microsoft are stubborn sticking to 125hz polling rate when the only positive from it is a better battery life is a bit backwards and how they can charge so much for Elite controllers when they are pretty useless for certain games. There are so many games that benefit from less latency and more accuracy from the controller sending inputs to the console/PC more frequently and this game is certainly one of those. I will use the Razer for most games now and the the Dual Sense 5 for those that support it's full features and Mouse for FPS and RTS etc. And I totally agree with you, it's great that Xboxers can play the game how it should be played and can compete at cross platform play with a more suitable controller for this game than others available for that platform.

The real reason why you think you’re playing better is most quit this junk . It should’ve been aborted right after launch It is like the oceanic sub sadly. It imploded if you go to twitch now, there is no one playing EA abort, on the other hand, you still find someone playing 2K23, enjoy

Update from me 10 days in
I am loving the controller now , much more realistic ..... with the elite controller it was either perfect or very fast/slow , now it is far more realistic
Another thing that happened is that Berty showed me how to apply all the fittings ... both combined has made me fall in love with the game again.
I am still behind most of you but getting my game back

Decided to make the jump and snagged a W V2 on Prime Day for a good deal. Still need to calibrate it a lot more because it is still only slow after the first 3 calibrations. Gonna go ahead and play my last two rounds of CC-D with it this afternoon regardless. May as well jump in and start getting used to it. My couch is like 11 feet from the Xbox so I had to get a USB 3.0 extension so I can sit comfortably, but here's hoping!

I play the same as you I sit 11 feet from my Xbox and use a usb extension lead, I had the same as you with the constant slows but the thing with that is you know what your going to get so you can allow for it. I used to use the pull back the aim marker back towards the golfer trick, the further you pull it back the more it moves your slow to the left towards the perfect mark. That only works if your not using the distance control though and it also slows your backswing down as well so you need to wait for your swing to catch up.

I've also taken the plunge and bought the Razer Wolverine v2. It has a nice feel and I'm enjoying the increased stability, but my problem isn't with consistent slows, it is fasts that I'm struggling with. My drives are okay, but if I play my iron shots with a similar swing tempo then they tend to pull left. I've calibrated a number of times, but as is often the case what happens on the driving range does not seem to get replicated in a society round.
I'll keep practicing though and see if I can get more consistency. It definitely holds some promise.

I play a bit of Xbox Sim Sanctuary, just getting into it. I just bought an Xbox and with this controller I have used no calibration I get way more perfects than I do on PC, way more than I ever have on any HB game. Seems the default tempo is perfect (no pun) for me. What's great is I can switch play on both platforms because the feel is so similar between the two with the Razer controller.

If you're playing this on an xbox, you definitely need this controller. No calibration for me the tempo is perfect right out of the box, i've just got to keep an eye on the swing plane. After using this for a couple of days you realise just how useless the xbox controllers are for this game.

Have played about 30 rounds now with the Wolverine controller and can concur that this makes a difference on the Xbox. Consistently shooting around -5 on TST settings without grids and ready to make the leap to Legend. If not for the end of the season I would have already jumped from CC-G to CC-F, ready to claim another 2 promotion marks and on the verge of moving to CC-E. Already looking forward to next season !!

If your hitting your irons left 95% of the time then allow for it in your setup or aim, very few real pros hit straight shots they’re always trying to work the ball one way or another.

If you're turning it over ie hitting a fast tempo you also have to allow for the extra carry distance a grey fast gives you in this game. It is not realistic as tilting the axis of the golf ball doesn't result in more carry distance in real life. But it does give a bit of variety to the shot outcomes in the game.
