If anyone is unaware outside the Xbox TGC community. Razer has released a great wired controller. The Wolverine V2. It passes tours API. Quite a few of us xboxer's from the lower CC's up to Elite have earned tour victories. Including me, 1 in A and one in Kinetic, 2 in last 3 weeks. I never expected these wins but was really encouraged by better play over the time I've owned one. Six weeks now. If you don't have one, go get it. All it will take is a session or 2 of calibrating and your tempo will get much more consistent. I very rarely hit perfects but they are so close fast or slow it doesn't matter. I qualified in CC-J using an Elite 2 controller on Xbox and if I had still been using it I would probably be in CC-K now or not playing tours at all. My mate got me to buy a Razer Wolverine V2 and I’m now playing in CC-A and took my first win this season on any version of the game. It’s not a miracle worker you still have to play decent but it’s far more consistent than a wireless Xbox controller.

Works wired only right ?? That's a shame as I have my Series X in the room next door to where I play on my monitor otherwise I would have bought one.

Cheers As far as i know mines just a 2.0 cable but I don’t know about these things maybe try running it round the walls into the other room and the Razer has a near enough three meter cable attached to it. |

Demonondalinks, have just received my Wolverine V2 and you mention calibration in your original post. Do you think it is essential to calibrate ?? How did it perform straight out of the box ?? I know in the past I have read various posts about the merits of not calibrating the Microsoft controllers. Interested in your thoughts. Thanks

When I first got one I went to the range all I could get was very slows couldn't swing fast enough , so calibrated half a dozen times , I rarely get perfects but like demon said u get tiny fasts and slows , what u don't get is that random bullshit very fasts and slows used to get 2 , 3 of them a Rd. Which then saves u around 2 shots a Rd
The main thing is the tempo is consistent dont get me wrong this controller is not a magical wand but it really helps .
Basically you gotta swing a little faster then the stock .
If your one of them competitive peeps on xbox then this controller will help u compete against all other platforms for sure .

I had success right away but the more you get used to it the more you attack flags. Shorter putts equals many birdie chances. Pay attn to swing line as it is more sensitive. Mine is 90% a push so I aim a little left even with a 5-8 mph breeze. Keep at it and good luck. BTW I am 1 mark to platinum. Was in B and hardly played tours. It rejuvenated my joy for the game. xEB50x can tell his success story if he so chooses |

It would have to be some controller to beat the Dual Sense 5, it's the best controller I have ever used on PC . I do find the Xbox controllers to be quite a bit easier to hit straighter swing paths but the DS4 and DS4 are much better controllers for this game as they are so much more responsive than Xbox official controllers. |
