As an XBoxer I cannot recommend the Razer Wolverine V2 highly enough. Has transformed my ability to compete. Slowly moving up the ranks now !! It actually annoys me to think that PS has had this level of gameplay basically since the 2019 game and Xbox has had to put up with an inferior level of gameplay because HB couldn’t find a way of levelling the playing field with the Xbox controller. I'm really confused why you keep blaming HB for Xbox having such a shite stock controller? What exactly did you expect them to be able to do? Blame Microsoft. |

Hasn't the Razer Wolverine V2 been out for a couple of years or more and previously the Wolverine Ultimate which Amazon has been selling since 2017. So Xbox could of been competitive long before now just few people knew about it. I think a polling rate of just 125hz is absolutely awful and not good for any competitive game, that is really on Microsoft and Nintendo favouring battery life over responsiveness on their official controllers. The Sony Dual Sense 5 is leagues ahead of any controller that Microsoft has made. Just imagine gaming mice with high latency due to a really low polling rate, nobody would buy them. There’s that and TGCTours saying we had to use stock controllers incase they failed the API. TGCTours "strongly recommends" stock, but obviously hasn't forced anyone to use a specific controller. |

There’s that and TGCTours saying we had to use stock controllers incase they failed the API. TGCTours "strongly recommends" stock, but obviously hasn't forced anyone to use a specific controller. Some cheap 3rd party controllers it is easy to get dead straight lines. The Razer has to be one of the most sensitive sticks out there so there was never a problem with the controller not passing. It really brings swingplane difficulty into the swing/putt for me and a real challenge on legend also. The controller plays great on this game, as does the DS4/5 |

Well I played the Promo Event and this Razer controller has enabled me to jump from CC-E straight into Kinetic... WTF !!
I played well but not in my wildest dreams did I think I'd be bumped that far up the pecking order.
Long live the Wolverine !!

Funnt thing is I played my x2 opening CC rounds last night and nailed them so I little disappointed I've moved up so far. Hah hah. I did think maybe a move from CC-E to CC-C or B.

I do think the Razer is much more of advantage on PC on master setting rather than legend. I probably would say the PS controllers might be better for legend.Master is VERY forgiving on swingplane and legend is so unforgiving. Love the Razer though even with the wild push or pull strokes/putts, would never go back to any other controller and I only play legend difficulty.

Perhaps what has also helped me is that since mid year I’ve only played Legend myself, no grids, no aiming marker. I love the challenge of shooting even par or better. I’d say most of my scores are between -5 to +5 except these Major comp courses are tough. Most scores +5 to +10. I’m going to go back and play them on Master setting and see what happens. |

We did it! ![]() Made it to the Platinum Tour! Congrats! Last week there were 11 Xbox players on Platinum including 4 in the top 10. There's also a bunch of us in Elite and Kinetic. Going back a year you'd be struggling to find half a dozen in the Pro tours. The controller has made a huge difference and has actually opened up more options for difficulty settings for the tours as a whole. Good luck with the big boys! Never know, I may get my sh%$ together and join you at some point. |

The issue I have is no other games I play on Xbox have such a noticeable difference in performance related to the controller. Madden, MLB The Show, Diablo, etc, etc. Is part of that M$ fault? Sure. They could easily produce a controller that has better hz/poling pts. But part of that is also HB's fault. They've known this issue has existed since their 1st release and have chosen to ignore it. They knowingly designed a game without optimizing it for that system (including the controller). Imagine if EA, SDS, or any other high profile developer made a game that didn't function properly on Xbox because of the controller. People should not feel the need to buy a 3rd party controller in order to have the same gaming experience that PS has had for years. And that IS an HB issue. Hopefully if/when the next game releases Xbox players speak with their wallet and refuse to buy the game upon release. Make HB put more dev time into optimizing their game for Xbox than they did creating magic golf balls. And to note, I have (2) Elite series 2 controllers. They weren't bought for this game, but gaming in general. I tried using them for this game, calibrating several times and my poling points are far worse than the stock XSX controller. So I use the stock SXS for this game and either controller for all other games. No issues with the controllers playing any other games. So yes, this is as much an HB issue as it is a M$ issue. |

There is definitely more latency with Xbox and Nintendo Switch stock controllers than Playstation controllers or the Razer Wolverine V2, I noticed it playing Celeste recently which is a twitch platformer, so quick movements are needed. Check out the Rocket League forums and there is plenty of people criticising Xbox controllers over there also, so it's not just this game. It is 100% a Microsoft issue, I am sorry but a 125hz polling rate is rubbish, just try the game with a Razer Wolverine V2 and you'll see how much more responsive that controller is for this game than using a stock Xbox controller. There is no magic with the Wolverine it's just that Microsoft controllers are not good under the hood, the Elite controllers are way overpriced for what they are, you need great performance not just build quality for that price. Going back to your point about optimising the game for Xbox. I have an Xbox Series X and the game plays absolutely fine with the 2 Razer controllers I have. Another point is the game plays poorly also with Xbox controllers on PC, it's not just Xbox. I nearly gave up playing TGC2019 because tempo was a sh%$ show for me with an Xbox controller. I then used my PS4's DS4 and could not believe the difference, night and day for tempo consistency. |
