I truly hope that you are right, I would love a new game. Facts remains though, not a word from the publisher or the devs in ages so I wouldn't count on it, but there's always hope. Since 2K has taken over it has been always been very quiet until a couple of months before release. October or April release but most certainly a new game is coming. You don't sign a contract with the most famous pro golfer of current times, hire new people from EA's golf franchise to totally drop your own golf franchise.I think the plan is 2 year release cycles but it could be delayed to spring next year for many reasons. Not a bad thing to release the game next year I feel. My worry for every HB golf game is will they sell out and concentrate on a more arcade game for the masses and sell out a bit. Will they break the great parts of the current gameplay, will they drop the CD. I always worry about a new game so if it's released next year I can stop worrying till then. I agree with this. The - seemingly - longer timeframe between releases and recruitment would suggest they are going to change it up a bit more than usual. Since TGC2 they’ve tweaked each release and kept pretty much the same gameplay options etc. so maybe they’re planning bigger changes this time. Like you I’d worry what they might be haha but fingers crossed!

Paying for a designer is the way corporate heads look at this game. We players say, nay to pay for but in the end, these companies have to make money, and I don't see golf as the company headliner. So let me get this straight. You(2k) want me to buy a game with say 30-50 courses. In order for me to play courses designed by the community which you by the way do not pay for I have to pay you a fee. If I want to design courses for the game from which I get no monetary reward I have to pay you. Nah I don't think that's a winning business model. Golf is a niche game they'll never make much on it and I am sure with the $hitshow that was EA's offering 2k is in no hurry to change things up much. But with no course designer this game is DOA. In order for me to play courses designed by the community which you by the way do not pay for I have to pay you a fee. What fee and to whom? Say $20. for a designer, if you are a serious designer, you buy it. If you are a designer who just floods our inventory of 30 - 50 games with junk, then don't buy it. There will be a lot of players who don't want to spend an extra 20 unless they can design with the big boys. BUT, I hear ya. Golf is a niche sport, that is why I feel charging for a designer makes sense as everyone is complaining about the latest version with the "balls". Where are the other golf games that have come up against this game in the last 10 years? They don't exist anymore; therefore this game has to gather those players with some formula, or this entire game will be DOA.

I’d happily pay $20 for the designer if it had a ton more assets and double the object meter. If it’s the same designer with the same assets then chuck it in with the game.

Perhaps the designer could be a separate entity and create courses that can be downloaded into the game from a database as and when you want to play them. If you intend to use the designer as well as play you buy both but if you only play you buy one.

I still don't get how anyone would be fine with paying for the designer. As it is you're already working for 2k for no money why would you pay to work?

Some small things that might have already been mentioned. Lose some of the post putt golfer animations some are fine one in particular is cringe. What's that a curtesy to the Queen? If I make a putt 30 feet from the fringe show the golfer there not 10 feet away. Lose the overhead shot after holing out it looks bad. Have the caddie lay the bag down not leave it standing sometimes even on the green. Can we move the ball on the tee? Let's not have the group walking in the sand traps. I know this is all animation based and the course can make this happen but it is just lazy on the developer's part. I know they are doing all of these animations for thousands of created courses so maybe not possible.
Enough crashes and black screens the game has been out 2 years now. Fix the Playstation limitations it worked until the last update. Lots of favorite worthy courses can't be favorited if I can only have 50. Lots of small stuff to be done don't encourage this bunch to charge for content they get for free from the community.

Rather than charge for the designer charge for new assets for the designer. They could keep releasing new ones through the life of the game. I don't think it's good locking out the whole CD as a DLC as this might put people off even buying the games course fesigner. Also if there is more financial reward in the designer the Devs might concentrate more on improving it.

What I’ve always thought would be cool is buttons linked to your golfers reaction. X for calm reaction Square for over the top pumped up reaction Something like that. So you can go mental if you nail a putt for eagle if you choose to. Or, windmill your club if you go into the water etc… I’d stick to being a nice, calm professional but at least there’s an option there for people that like to see their golfer animated and acting like a douche.

There’s a setting that goes from happiness to grumpy. You can turn them into a club chucker. I think it only works on PC

Nothing I appreciate more than seeing constant replays when I have replays set to off.

Maybe one of the people in the know under NDA can somehow, in some cryptic way let us know a new game is coming, without saying it's coming?? Maybe advertising next golf season should tell us, hey no new game OR not advertising for the new golf season could mean stand by??

Also, would love to have advertising on the bag. Beer, soft drinks, auto brands, golf manufacturers a bunch of free advertising to be taken advantage of on broadcasts. And please put in a clothing designer that could be put in a game store to be bought with earned VC. Is that asking too much? Moving ball on tee I agree with and it would be nice to have markers a bit wider.

Maybe advertising next golf season should tell us, hey no new game OR not advertising for the new golf season could mean stand by?? I was thinking similar the other day. My optimistic head on, no details have been revealed about a new season because they know of an upcoming announcement. My alter ego though is saying, no news of a new season has been released as they don't know how to break the news that this is the last season due to lack of donations.
