Just as Many problems with the xbox version, The notification system not worked for months, Friends played courses not moved for 6 months,on xbox one you press the menu button for the first time you get a 5 secs delay.Even since i switched to the xbox x still a pause on the menu and the game crashes a hell of alot. OK so you have some of the same problems on the other console. Does anyone have any idea how much it costs HB/2k to keep the servers up for each game. Not that I play the older versions anymore but they still seem to be up for TGC2 PGA 2019 and obviously 21 and 23. With all the micro transactions in gaming these days I'm surprised they keep them up this long. The Show doesn't keep the servers up for that long.

The quarterly report they've just released has no mention on PGA 2k25 that I can see. But it does mention games for release in Q4 2025.....
Maybe that's because it's not officially announced yet.......hopefully.....
Their quarterly report this time in 2022, did mention PGA 2K23.

Reports are out, and no mention of a new game. Guess that's not that unusual as no announcement yet, but I really don't think likely we'll see a game this year. At equivalent point in 2022 PGA 2k23 was in this presentation deck (and quarterly report preceding). Maybe they've changed their business processes, but....doubt it....

I listened to the call. It's like PGA doesn't exist..... Lots of chat about 'cost saving programmes' and 'creating efficiency'. Top Spin, GTA, NBA, WWE, Mobile games etc getting a lot of mentions though.
I'm starting to think PGA just doesn't make them enough money.
I wasn't encouraged at all.
But I hope I'm wrong.

We know they are still going to be releasing a new game at some point...2K hired several of EA's devs to join their golf team. On Page 12 of the earnings presentation, they specifically say that PGA 2K is part of their "Immersive Core". I think they might just be hush-hush around PGA 2K in this call because, as you said, I am sure PGA 2K doesn't make near as much money in DLC content as games like NBA 2K (which 2K25 has been properly announced), and Top Spin was a recent release that's playing into the results they posted for the previous quarter. And they can't not mention GTA, as the next one's likely the most anticipated game in history at this point...and the last one is still bring them lots of income. I also think that, could an announcement for a PGA 2K game be coming in the next weeks, they simply didn't want to take away from the attention that a proper announcement would provide.

In the Q&A, one of them mentioned "we are in the golf business" in a comment regarding their sports franchises. Whether that was a non-meaningful throwaway comment, I couldn't say.

I don't doubt there is a new game coming, but it must be a way off. The community survey they did recently suggests they are yet to make the big decisions on the structure of the game, and until those are made we won't hear anything. Those decisions may include next-gen exclusive or not (the longer they wait, the more likely this is, bear in mind that next gen becomes last gen in 2027 probably...), how they are going to monetise, microtransactions etc (please get rid of the stupid balls) and (deep breath) whether to keep the designer or not. I know that the designer is central to the USP for this franchise, but the poaching of EA's team is worrying, as the way they build courses is just not compatible with an in-game designer.
I think it is certain we won't see a game this year, and Spring 2025 is now very optimistic. I predict announcement in Spring, release October 2025. Game will be called 2k26. Tiger will be dropped as will have retired!

Tiger will be dropped as will have retired! I agree with pretty much all of this. I think the EA staff joining is a clear indication that they want to (finally) change the structure of the game from ranked / societies and have more options dailies / weeklies etc. and tbh I think that’s one thing the EA golf game did very well and would add to this series. I’d be surprised if they look at EA’s short tail and think ‘we want some of that’ though and are bound to have an idea of what makes 2k stay popular for so long in comparison. Designer and responsive swing obviously. Imo it definitely won’t be next gen only though. Whether that’s NEXT gen or current/ next gen (lol) something like 40% of players haven’t moved on from PS4/ Xbox One as of a few months ago. And the vast majority of those players (I imagine) are more geared towards, for want of a better word, casual sports games like these that are pick up and play. I’d be very very surprised if 2K effectively block tens of millions of players from being able to give them money. I guess on the plus side they seem to actually be taking time to change up the structure of the game. So here’s hoping. (Watch out for an announcement on two weeks that it launches in October exclusively on next gen and PC now 😆)

I'll be up for a delay in the game if it means Cross platform society's.
