Lonely Doug

Welcome to Lonely Doug, a golf course designed around The Big Lonely Doug Fir Tree located on Vancouver Island, BC. The towering tree is seen from all over the course, but don't be distracted. At just over 7000 yards this par 70 course will bring on its challenge. A narrow creek works its way through the 18-hole layout, causing a little extra thought before letting it rip. Strategic bunkering and tight, heavily planted areas play a factor as well. Play the right shots and the chance to go low is there. Enjoy your round here at Lonely Doug.

I don't post much in here anymore, but I had to drop in to say how much I enjoyed my round here and am glad to see new 2K23-specific courses like this pop up. The setting, surfaces, lighting, etc. are all wonderful. The course plays well, too.

The finishing hole is a bit on the quirky side, but it was also kind of a neat end to the round.

Really nice environment you created here. The golf was fun too! Nice planting on the creek and I liked the way it weaved through the course. I enjoyed my round.

Finally got around to playing it last night. Absolutely killed the environment. Creek work going in and out of holes was well done. Planting was spot on. Great follow up to White-Tail. Instant favorite will be back for more. Great job Michael!
