I have started playing the Dual Sense 5 wireless on my PC. Wired I hardly ever hit perfect tempo, wireless I am hitting loads of perfects and it feels a lot better. Nice to be free of the cord
I tried mine wireless, and it was really laggy. It took forever to connect to the bluetooth, and after it did, it was like I'd press the stick/arrow and it would take several seconds to move the menu. wouldn't even register a swing.
I'm not sure if it is because it is an older motherboard, or was just a glitch that could have been fixed by re-adding the device. I didn't worry about it and just plugged it back up for the time being, LOL.

250hz locked 60fps should get you to PS5 wired cal. With a bit of fiddling, you should be able to combine the mhz with a calibration routine that would give good results at either edge of the perfect window. [edit] Just seen you've been using a Thrustmaster - might be ok, however, would be prudent to check with Admin to see how your rounds came out on API. Many a horror story has gone by previously on anything other than stock pads. What sort of calibration gives you that? Hopefully the eSwap will be fine, it’s so bloody sensitive can’t see if having any advantage! Almost a hinderence! I was considering buying an E swap myself but concerned it might fail the api.

Have you updated the firmware yet? , here is the link to the Sony site in case you haven't. controller.dl.playstation.net/controller/lang/en/fwupdater.html

I did, but I noticed that it asked again when I added it to bluetooth. I just figured it was asking because it saw it as a new device, so I didn't do it that time. Its not some different firmware for bluetooth is it?

Not sure but you should update the controller firmware when using windows. Hopefully it helps your BT problems as it works great on my PC.

I didn't even think about the main BT windows driver. good point!

I just went and boughr a PS5 Dual Sense controller and have one of those Brooks Wingman adaptors on order for the Series X. Very interested to see what all the fuss is about! I’m interested in this adapter as well can you keep me informed how you get on please I will provide some observations and thoughts once I get it all set up. Btw, good golfing in CC-J !! Top of the Pops !!

Yes this is the controller, it works with both PC and Xbox although on Xbox you’ll still have the same polling point issues as an Xbox controller, on PC however you’ll get much improved rates. It’s passed API for me and I don’t see it being an issue as it’s a sensitive stick so harder to swing straight than others approved controllers. I only got it to get better polling rates on PC to match dual sense with an Xbox configuration

paddyjk19 Ah thanks man. I mean, I know I am screwed with the polling rates either way. But I am all about the 'feel' of a controller, and the XBox controller just feels light and plastic-y and cheap. So just thinking maybe a different controller might 'feel' better, but I have horrible issues keeping the swing plane straight, so maybe it's not going to work for me right now.😂

I am wireless on mine now!
I did a little investigation and figured out that my motherboard's BT was only 4.0. So rather than upgrade that, I just bought a 5.1 BT dongle from Amazon. Was only $13.
It took a little doing to get it working- Short (ish) version is, I had to disable my motherboard on board BT for the dongle to work. If not, it reported it as an incorrect driver. But that wasn't actually the case, it was simply the two BT's conflicting with each other. Next, I had to use a USB extension cable to get the dongle up within line of sight of my controller. I didn't think BT was line of sight, but for whatever reason, moving it to a line of sight made it work fine. Without line of sight, it was very sporadic. I tested this extensively, simply by standing up and holding the controller in line of sight, and then sitting down where it was not. Both places, we are only talking about 3-4 feet away, so it was not distance related.
Anyway, got it working this morning, played 3 rounds, and it is working fine.
I'm still bad, I don't know if I could tell THAT much difference between the 250 and 800mhz thing. But it IS free of a wire, and I can turn the thing on and off easily now, so that in itself is a plus. LOL
hammers1man , how are you charging yours? I was just going to plug mine into the wall charger when not using it.
