Ok, I just got back from the store with my new PS5 DS controller. Glad I hadn't played PGA 2K3 much yet on the XBOX. Now to figure out how to play this on the PC and get the controller working. Good luck!

That's what I said in the post you replied to. Career progress, VC etc is the same but custom appearance, fittings etc are not saved. Apologies, I misread what you wrote. You can move between laptop and PC, but you have to keep moving those files. Sorry! Any idea which files I need to keep moving between Laptop & PC, when I travel? I'm leaving for FL tomorrow on VACA, and thought it might be fun to load this game on my laptop, now that I have the PS5 DS controller to go with it.

But the Xbox controller has a hardwired refresh rate, so it is the same on Xbox, PC, etc. Do you recommend overclocking the DS5 Blade? I play wired to PC as I am terrible at remembering to charge my controllers. If you don't, the refresh rate is 4 times slower. Do 3 ms matter? I don't know but it is easy to overclock and once you do it, it is permanent (until you change it again). Wired is also better (even when overclocked, although not a huge difference) for the PS5, so charging is not required!

Here is what I was able to piece together for you to test.
C:\Users\<YourName>\AppData\LocalLow\2K\PGA TOUR 2K23 folder was one of them. I think you move the "player" file.
C:\Users\<YourName>\Documents\My Games\PGA TOUR 2K23 folder is the other. This one is the one I am not certain on. I would just copy the entire folder over to the laptop, but you could experiment to see which file is the key (I am guessing "unlockables.items", but "profilesXXX.data" might also be important )
Why 2K/HB made this hard is beyond me.
Good luck!

To play DS5 on PC for 2K21 you had to enter Steam Big picture mode luckily it just works nicely on 2K23 without using big picture.

Or use the DS4 program (I agree, the PS5 does work with 2K23, but not with all PC games). The video linked earlier explains it all.

Hey guys-
had a side job come up and they are paying just enough for a controller. So I decided to do something for myself, and picked up a DS5 controller today.
I hooked it up and practiced on the range, then played 3-4 rounds.
I'm amazed. and sold. and happy with my purchase. In one night, with limited use, just hooking it up straight with no overclocking, I can already tell the difference.
I'm still hitting a lot of bad shots, make no mistake. But all night tonight, on the bad shots, I knew they were bad and why. I didn't have a single one that I wondered 'why was that a very fast or slow, it didn't feel like it?" On all my shots, good or bad, they all felt like they did exactly what I expected them to do, based on the way I hit. It feels like a different game!
Thank you all for the info!!

I might be wrong but I don't think these adapters change the polling rate of the PS controllers higher than 125hz on Xbox, let us know how.you get on with it. I had a discussion with Dansamp on here a couple of years ago about PS controllers on Xbox I found this info on the fastest Xbox controller but I think it's only that fast on PC. www.reddit.com/r/FortniteCompetitive/comments/smv1d2/fastest_xbox_controller_lowest_input_lag_gambit/#:~:text=The%20polling%20rate%20on%20the,XInputTest%20(input%20latency%20test).&text=Both%20controllers%20were%20tested%20wired%20using%20the%20same%20USB%20C%20cable.

I thought the issue was the Xbox controller and not the Xbox itself ?? I've followed loosely some of the discussion around polling points on this forum and did see a 40 odd min You Tube video by a young guy who seemed to now what he was talking about. I understood the issue to be with the controller. Maybe money down the drain ?? What's the max frequency of the Xbox controller ??

I believe the Xbox system is geared towards 125hz and the controller designed to match

Awesome - what I love about the PS controller is just like you say - no more "WTF!" shots and now you know you hit a bad shot before you even hear about it in the game, with no surprise bad shots. Saw your final two rounds - depending on how many cards they add, you might be on the bubble (right now, you need a bit more than a total on 1900 cards to make it). Either way, good luck next week with the new controller!

I don't think you'll get more than 125hz syc'd from it, but, crucially, it may have a better (tighter) range of mhz spread, so you MAY, get less WTF moments... maybe.
