Not everyone will get a tour card. There will be a cutoff but it won't be score based - it'll be based on how many people complete all 4 rounds and how full we can get the Challenge Circuit.
The card cutline on the leaderboards can be ignored - we're hoping to remove it soon.
I'm confused (or at least I hope I am!) by the not everyone will get a tour card sentence. I saw on the other thread someone said they may not even make CC, but I wrote it off until I just saw this. Does this mean that not everyone that wants to play will be able to? I always thought in the past, the top tiers all filled up, until you got down to the last one, and thats where everyone else ended up, as long as they wanted to play. Is there a cutoff now, if we do really bad, will we just keep having to do Q school each week? Or was it always that way and I just didn't realize it? I've flirted with being dead last in all of the players before, is why I'm asking, LOL. Last time (2 years ago) we had a hard limit on score (under +100 as I recall), so there were definitely people who did not get a card even though there was room. Doyley's comment is less of a clear line this time, but I wouldn't be surprised if he is looking for a significant change in score's curve (at the tail end). Should someone who shot a +140 be in CC-L when someone who shot +30 is also there? I don't think so. BTW, my numbers are totally made up. As I look at the scores (after two rounds), somewhere in the high 20s or low 30s (after 2 rounds) looks to be where the curve is suddenly changing. Just my 2 cents, I have no say in this.

Love this visual aid! It’s great to see how this looks in a graph. Would love to have an update after round three is posted. It makes me feel slightly better that I’m not in that sudden uptick. Slightly.

Let me try this! Given Doley's information, we have 45 Plat card to give and 14 other tours to fill with 140 players. Total of cards available: 2005
We already have 2040 players appearing on the Leaderboard.
I have read some players don't appear on leaderboard yet. I will estimate there's between 50-100 players in that situation.
Total of players: Around 2125
We will gain 250 new players thursday and friday, about the same rate than yesterday to today.
Total of players: Around 2625
I bet it's over 400 new players for saturday alone.
Total of players on final countdown: Around 3125
So around 1/3 of all players won't earn a card if administration don't change anything.
That 1/3 of the bottom is now at +6 after 2 rounds. We have already played the easy one in 2nd round, so I'm not going X2 for last 2 rounds. I will add these players a +8.
So right now, I call the cut between CC-L and no card is +14

Agree, last two rounds appear to be tougher based on reports (at least R3 for sure with the rain and we have not yet seen high wind, which is in the weather report), so I bet that number goes up significantly. Also, Doyley has previously said +20 should be safe. Not a guarantee obviously, but a lot of experience talking there.

I guess that someone shooting a +29 on first round will give up and if some players forget to play the round 3 and 4 of Platinium sometimes, it will happen to alot! haha And how a player will do in round 3 and 4 compared to Round 1 and 2 is heavy speculations. Round 2 is easy, that's a fact. Round 3 have rain... and I would add so what? It's not a big game changer imo. Round 4 have medium wind, but pin locations is tougher If I recall correclty. Round 1 should be the worst of all for a player having difficulty shooting Par at master right now. This is an Elite course difficulty and I can imagine that some CC players of last year and new players this year did have a little shocker in the first round. MyCareer and old CC courses arent preparing you well for all these running out fairways and constant ajustement for the lie of this course. It takes more than 1 round to get used to this, but I can imagine they will be at least more aware in round 3 and 4 that hitting middle of the fairway is no garantee that your next shot is from the fairway. Btw... the weather report lie, lie and lie every weeks!! 😝

I shot a combined -13 for the first two rounds, and then came back a couple of days later and shot +10 for the final two. Some of that was the more difficult conditions, and some of that was because I came back to the game two days later, plus other factors. But the vast majority of players are still on a steep learning curve (as evidenced by the scores posted so far), so changes in conditions could make a more significant difference to their (our!) scoring than with the better or more experienced players. I'm hoping my -3 total will get me into CC-I or better, although I temporarily had higher hopes after those first two rounds.

Getting ahead of myself, but I must say I am less than enthused after playing the courses slated for week 1. I am headed likely for Kinetic or maybe Elite tour, both of those courses are cakewalks. I went -10 on both hardly paying attention. I was hopeful that this season would introduce more course challenge, as the qualifying event did, and not just a point and shoot week in and out. 50 yard flat fairways, no hazards, easily approachable greens.

Also - as for the tour cards - 45, 140, 140 for the top 3 - but then CC was stated to be 130 per..

How do I actually register, go to the tour’s board and it’s the scores for qualifying but can’t see where you actually register. Thx

The outcome is unfortunate, but conditions have very little to do to explain a 23 shots difference. There's a little detail in your game/swing somewhere that you have forgot between the 2 sessions. That's the biggest challenge with a new game. It's easy to lose it. But I'm not worry about you, focus on that -13 only. You will get out of CC very fast when season begins

thanks for the response. I figured something like that - as it stands at this moment - assuming all 1588 complete the 4 rounds - 50, 140. 140 for P,E,K - leaving 1258/12 = 104 ish on CC-A thru CC-L, with previously stated 'ideal' CC flights at about 130... I mainly asked the question as I shot a horrible +20 for the event, but would hopefully still get a card the first time around.. Will wait and see I suppose.. Thanks again Doyley I hope +20 is going to be fine. I ended up +21 after a +5 final round. It was a pretty good round but missed two easy birdie putts. My only major frustration (this round), so I will take it as a win. Only R3 was really tough on me, so I enjoyed it and look forward to CC play where I perform better than last year.
I did change my controller (I am PC) from an XBOX to a PS5 DualShock (which I overclocked). No doubt in my mind that is part of the reason I went from horrible to merely bad.

Meh, so the first week might be a shootout. There'll be a variety of conditions and difficulty over the season. I've been in Kinetic before and know the scheduling is excellent. Not sure who's doing Elite these days but I'd expect the same. These guys know what they're doing.
