I think the question we can't answer yet is how many players aren't showing up yet on the leaderboards, and haven't realized they didn't complete some aspect of registration?
Could still be a tangible bump in the number of players...?

If they haven't bought the game yet, my guess is 'most' won't be able to beat +20 in the few days left of Q. It took me a month to get decent enough to get to +8 after two rounds (damn 18th hole meltdown! ) I think anyone who was halfway decent at 2k21 already has 2k23. Any 'new blood' in the next few days will 'most' likely be noobs, so I wouldn't put too much weight on that hypothetical.

I suspect 20-over will be well within tour card territory.

If the ideal tour sizes are stuck to as laid out and there isn't a cut off, there's 1885 cards available this week. Only Wednesday and almost enough on the board already! You can guarantee a few hundred won't finish their rounds though.

You can guarantee a few hundred won't finish their rounds though. I feel like the 130 # per CC tour is flexible to expand to more or to be lower, but not sure how far in expanding in size Admin is willing to go.
Not sure if there is availability from Admin right now to add more CC tours or not.
I do think that if you take 1885 and then go +/- 15% you get 1600 to 2150 for the current setup. That would allow for CC tours to be anywhere from ~105 to ~150 each, and that is assuming no score floor at the bottom end, which could be used for a competitive reason.
There are also week 3 and 4 events upcoming to allow for adjustments, etc. I feel like flexibility has been built in for this first month as best as Doyley can do before knowing what the Week 1 mass Q-Event turnout was going to be.

Not everyone will get a tour card. There will be a cutoff but it won't be score based - it'll be based on how many people complete all 4 rounds and how full we can get the Challenge Circuit.
The card cutline on the leaderboards can be ignored - we're hoping to remove it soon.
I'm confused (or at least I hope I am!) by the not everyone will get a tour card sentence. I saw on the other thread someone said they may not even make CC, but I wrote it off until I just saw this.
Does this mean that not everyone that wants to play will be able to? I always thought in the past, the top tiers all filled up, until you got down to the last one, and thats where everyone else ended up, as long as they wanted to play. Is there a cutoff now, if we do really bad, will we just keep having to do Q school each week? Or was it always that way and I just didn't realize it? I've flirted with being dead last in all of the players before, is why I'm asking, LOL.

Depends on the final number of players. If tiers are full of players the rest can play Qualification every week. The playres with five demotion marks go from Cc L to Qualification and vice versa

Was the same for 2K21 qualifying - though there were, I believe more players, but there was a hard cut of 4 round +100 to get a tour card - so pretty much guess that if you're under that you should be good to go - AND for 2K21 - they actually added CC-I thru CC-L It's really going to come down to how many complete all 4 rounds - Plat will fill - Elite/Kinetic should be able to get 140 each easily - then the remaining will be divided by 12 to fill out the CC ranks (130 max each) - so that, in theory, could mean folks towards the bottom would not get a card if there are more than 1560 people remaining after the top tours are filled. Those would then be registered in the weekly qualifying pool to try and get a card - I would imagine the first few weeks will be tight if all slots are filled up and people are all playing. Admin could always increase the CC pool totals based on participation. Week 3 is a promo event - so they would almost have to open up a few slots for each tour in order to have the movement from that..
