Did not realise till i checked Royal west Norfolk or Brancaster was not in 2k23,like it was in 2k21 so i added my version to the database.I added a 4th pin set to take it over the R&A required 7000 yards for a course these days on the grounds, other 3 pin set are the course tees.2600 yards from the entrance gate to the 9th green and plot over 3400 yards in distance impossible without lidar i reckon, Did the course at High tide just to make it a little more interesting. It's amazing really when you look at a lot of the uk course how Many holes look and feel the same, the 4th at Brancaster reminds me so much of the 4th at Royal North Devon, just a little shorter at brancaster.

Was you there on the Saturday when the storm Hit and derailed Tiger's Great slam attempt, That was some weather i doubt they would play these days in it.
Got to say the more i have played the course over the last week in different conditions, it's joined RSG,Old course, lytham and prestwick on my play list.

I know 2k will never go for things like this but wouldn't it be special if there was say a Storm setting in the weather and it was 30mph plus winds with rain affecting the course slowing it down puddles, love to try out that 2002 weather at Muirfield on the Saturday, can only dream looking at that Tennis Game it seems 2k are obsessed with VC than producing a decent game.

It's Been a Good run but it seems the 150thOpen championship(L) has been removed from my course folder and course search. Just a Head's up. Did you know that your 'Royal Birkdale The Open' doesn't appear in the course search either? I just stumbled on it while looking through courses in a society i.e. 'The Top 100 List Tour'. There are other Royal Birkdales appearing, including one i wasted a week creating because I thought there wasn't a 'Yeltzman' version! What other ones are out there hiding?

I did design a Lidar version but i gave the course file to the designer TMT money tour released it for 2k21 he did a great job with the stands and i have lost contact with him and he hasn't released his courses in 2k23 i just hope he is ok he did a fabulous whistling straits, forest of arden and kingsbarns as well miss those courses. It's just the course has changed so much the last couple of years will wait for a new version with the changes. The most iconic moment from the 2017 open speith's drop on the 13th captured so well in 2k21. On a different subject not sure if its a new version of your design it was near the front on (L) Lidar searches really enjoyed Wolf creek had one of my best ever rounds and most enjoyable.

Love this, Only at Royal North Devon. I absolutely love this photo Dave. Thanks for posting. It speaks of an older time, a time when bunkers were created by the shepherd's flock. A more pure time right ?? Love it !!

No, was there on the Sunday and watched the playoff. I thought was goign to witness one of teh Aussies take home the claret jug but it wasn't to be unfortunately. I was also there that week. Saturday was one of my favourite days at a golf tournament, watching the pros struggle with the conditions. I watched Colin Montgomerie grumpily and quickly walk straight to his ball on the par 5 17th, still with driver in hand from the tee shot, and unceremoniously give it a whack up the fairway without hardly even stopping to address the ball - he just wanted to get off the course. I say Duffy Waldorf hit his drive on the 6th into the only tree on the course, a small little thing about 120 yards in front of the tee on the left and well away from any playing line. Ball ended in very thick rough and could not be found. He re-teed and proceeded to hit it straight into the tree again! He ended with a double on that hole, which is good going considering he was hitting 4 from the deep rough before the start of the fairway. Great times. I followed the Aussies most of the day on Sunday, and did see Ernie Els go from one bunker to the other (twice) on his way to a double on the par 3 16th, which opened the door for the playoff. I then watched them coming up 18 in the playoff from inside the clubhouse, through the big front windows, a large whisky in hand. And then I played the course from the championship tees and day 4 pins at 7am Monday morning - shot an 82. What a week.

Re watched Gary Evans during the 2002 open and recreated his putt on the 17th would be a great option in the next game to add challenges instead of them being auto generated he ended up on 16th like Mickelson did in 2013 that 16th green is a little unfair, maybe one of the worst shots ever and one of the best on the 17th.
