My opinion CC should be Pro, Kinetic and Elite Master and Platinum legendary swing difficulty. If you gain promotion you should be forced to take it and have to spend how ever many weeks it takes to get demoted on the higher tours, that’s the natural progression. If someone is good enough to get out of CC they’re good enough to handle a few weeks of a higher difficulty if your not good enough you stay where you are. You guys that want higher difficulty have got it, it’s the tours that won’t give you it because some people that are obviously to good for one swing difficulty won’t accept a promotion because the difficulty goes up. Real life you go from Korn Ferry or Q school to PGA where the standard is much higher but they’re not shouting that’s natural progression.

It's a no brainer really and it keeps everybody happy , hopefully the devs would consider it I know it maybe a little more work and they do a great job

Lol 👍

Lol 👍 If it was a no-brainer, I think they'd be doing it - or wouldn't have stopped doing it. I suspect you are part of the louder minority, not the quieter majority. However, I think Les' idea is spot on. There are plenty of tiers of CC competition to sustain most players - and if you're good enough to graduate out of CC-A, you're probably fine with moving to Master once you hit the pro tours. If not? You can still self-relegate.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Honestly I feel more confident standing over a shot on a Saturday arvo in my club comp than I do on this master difficulty. Not only that, I usually have a fair idea what I've stuffed up in the swing if I do hit it off line or make bad contact. Last week wasn't too bad but this week it definitely feels like a lottery. Don't worry you 2 no doubt it will be back on pro difficulty where we can or most of us can turn back into robots and focus on boring target golf but hey hold on the short game may be a little harder what I think tgc perhaps should do is perhaps have a month of testing on the 2 difficultys when the game comes out as it sounds like its all been tweaked , then arrange the Q school. Gonna take the "random" from Schmiff and your "boring target golf" and say the following. PS console on master difficulty: Master was a great challenge, but still tons of success. Xbox console on master difficulty: 10 players had a fighting chance (only 3 or 4 were in the top three tours, a couple would make the cut every few weeks). PS console on pro difficulty: Boring target golf. Xbox console on pro difficulty: STILL FRUSTRATING for many players, but much more success on Tours. I played 9 holes of these test events. It was a hot stinking mess (obviously I'm xbox). So there was no point in even attempting to play because this game has been a mess pretty much from the beginning. Now let's throw that all aside and look at the boring target golf versus random points. Maybe the new game has bridged the gap? Maybe these badges and leveling up or whatnot will help those on the xbox side with the areas of their game that "feel" random, when in truth, it's probably about polling points, all of that techhy stuff that I have read about. We won't know until the game releases and while I fully admit that I will uninstall 2K21 (and would burn the disc if I had it!), we need to give this new game a chance. It can't be any worse than what we've labored through for over two frustrating years.

I’ve played 8 rounds of the exhibition events and not broken par on any of them Xbox of course. TGC admins decided to ditch the idea of two difficulties across the tours because they got so many complaints by people that won promotion on pro difficulty but didn’t like the idea of progression to master on the higher tours so they sandbagged for a few weeks to get a demotion back to the easier difficulty. Pro difficulty is ok for me I’m not saying it’s right for everyone, I’m 68 have neurological problems so I have difficulty controlling my hand movements, i basically can’t move my thumb the same way twice and I don’t have the dexterity of a 20 to 30 year old, there are some Xbox players that can get away with master difficulty but they are thinly spread in the tours. Check out the top 100 on tours and you will find Xbox players in the minority, some people say it’s because there are more PS players if that’s the case don’t you think we could have lost some xboxers because of the lack of a level playing field.

Roll on 2k21

I like the idea of promoting from CC Pro to CC Master but have the choice which pool you want to start in. I would start in CC Master even though I may not score well and be in the bottom Master division potentially, but I just won't play on Pro difficulty.
If you opt for Pro and you earn enough promotion marks in the top division, it unlocks for you to be able to switch to Master but you'd start in the bottom Master division. It's an option so if you don't fancy promoting to Master, you don't have to.
If you are in CC Master and want to drop down to CC Pro, you select it like you do for Beer league and drop down - to what part of CC Pro I don't know. Maybe a qualifying pool for CC Pro.
You can only get to the Pro Master tours by playing Master difficulty and working your way up through CC Master.
I like it!

Thank you sir, I’m ok playing shooters but anything that needs sensitive controls I struggle with. I just find the game sensitivity on masters just a little too tight. I’m not saying everyone should be playing pro, play whatever you want just don’t exclude me from something because I can’t. Give me somewhere to play and I’m happy, I would have been happy for TGC to leave beer league as pro and let the rest of you play masters or higher if you want, it’s your game you paid good money for it the same as me.

You have a few years on me as I'll be 50 in October. Started playing golf games in 1992 and have been playing them ever since. I am a firm believer in playing whatever is fun for you. I grew up on 3-click so I'll definitely play that along with the analog swing. After a few years off ready to get back to the grind.

Decided to play the final two rounds as I didn't have anything better to do. Once again the tempo went bonkers, seemed to be a problem more on the back 9 and on the same holes. I was -10 in the third round with four or five holes to go, and then the red fast into water ruined any chance of going lower. Final round was similar, two red fasts off the tee in a row to start the back 9, neither of which were anywhere close to that quick. Whether I'm wrong or not, I can't help but feel like the mechanics are somehow broken on master. I realise the tempo windows are bigger on pro but I don't recall having this many random results over the entire season, let alone one tournament. These weren't just in the red that would have been grey on pro, they were way off the mark.

These weren't just in the red that would have been grey on pro, they were way off the mark. Same experience except worse numbers. I was going along nicely, under par for the majority of the round, then a few inexplicable red fasts towards the end saw me get a double bogey on 16 and a triple on 18, ending with +4 again. My red fasts were at the extreme end of the scale too, and in some cases I was convinced I'd hit a slow and not a fast. I was getting some graphical swing jerkiness towards the end of the round and I wonder if it's related - maybe it's not registering the initial input at first and then thinks I moved the stick at the speed of light.
