I'm much more confident standing over the ball in real life than I am with master swing. I either hit a perfect and stiff it or I'm way wide of my target. There is no in between. I have the consistency of a mid range handicapper from tee to green, with distance control that the best players in the world would envy, which still makes for lots of birdies when I do get it right.
Sure, my scores might look a little more realistic but the game doesn't play that way for me.
Here's hoping the next iteration can make some improvements in these areas. As others have said, something in between our current pro and master settings would be ideal.

Doyley if the intent is to go back to Master difficulty, presumably with the current swing method, is there any consideration being give to offering a 3-click tour/society as an alternative option? Just asking. I like this idea but I think we also need to retain an analogue swing Pro option like Beer League to cater for analogue swingers who don't enjoy playing on Master difficulty?

I still believe fast/slows should cause pull/pushes. A fast wedge pulls 5 yards whilst a fast drive pulls 20 yards for example. And then the swing path dictates hooks/draws and slice/fades. Looking at the gameplay they are sticking as it is which is a shame. Fingers crossed there is a skill level out there for all of us to enjoy.

I think it's fine as it is. If the fast or slow tempo causes a closed or open face relative to the swing path then that should draw/hook and fade/slice. A pulled swing plane on perfect tempo would be a pull, and a push the other side.
It doesn't really line up with reality though, at least in my experience. Usually if I swing or transition too quickly I leave the club head too far behind and open, and usually hit a heeled slice, not a hook.

I won't play on master difficulty. I just did and got my typical master result of +40 over four rounds. I do some things that others don't do like I do not play with tempo. I end my swing early to try to stop the effect of tempo on my swing. This works on Pro where I control my swing by how much backswing and downswing I use. I also missed a ton of putts because in Pro I don't aim for the center of the hole while putting. I hit the side and have it lip in which works 90% of the time in Pro. I have never played without percentage or elevation indicators either.

It doesn't affect the putting though other than a smaller swing plane. Unless the putt is dead straight you shouldn't be aiming at the hole anyway, you have to use the moving beads to judge how far either side of the hole to aim it.

Thought I'd compare real life PGA Tour Pros to my TST rounds and my offline Master Swing TST-style Career rounds.

My scores for this event were dropped from the leaderboard sometime after Tuesday. I had finished my rounds Friday, but had not really checked the site until today.
Anyone else experience the same thing?

Based off the current scores for the 1st event, I'd say Xbox is still at a significant disadvantage to Playstation. lol

I thought I'd chip in as a late addition, but I hadn't taken into account that there was an accidental deadline this week, so my scores won't go onto the board. Oops. Not like much was missed, -3, -5, -3, -4. -15 for first event. Honestly, at the time of playing it didn't feel overly impressive but looking at the overall board... bit surprised at where that would have placed me. The tempo was all over the place, only bringing back memories of how it used to be for me. Still need to rely on the good old putter to make things work but was firing decent shots here and there. So maybe for me I just need some more sharpening. The course was a bit of a toughie so the fun factor is still out there for me. I'll give it a couple of gos first before I can make proper judgments on that but I guess it wasn't the worst experience, so that's always a plus. I was planning on taking a break by the season's end, but... well, I guess I've suckered myself in to play these events too. God dammit. Cheers!

71/74/72/70 (+7) on this weeks TST.
Don’t think I’ve ever putt so badly. The greens just didn’t suit my beady eye.

I remember Evangelist as TGC qualifier two years ago -it's a great yet tough course but isn't there an OB problem on one of the holes? Anybody remember which hole - it had water on the right of the green and OB left?

Thoroughly enjoyed True Sim Tour this week. Couldn't find my tempo at all which made it an exercise in scrambling to get round in -15 for the four rounds. I've missed those weeks playing on Pro swing where even a grey fast is a often a ten foot putt or less on approaches. I was way off this week and it was good to see that reflected in my play. Less places to hide. The rare good shots felt great because of it. Fantastic course as well and looking forward to next week. Cheers fransslabak!
