Also mouse users can't use the aid so bit unfair there I think. Wait... so you're saying it's an issue with my mouse when it's vibrating all over the place? I think your mouse is about to have babies, get some newspaper or a towel!

I agree it is hard work changing every club.I don't like a system where clubs you buy effect your swing so much. My observation with the new game is that clubs are cosmetic now. You build up attribute points that you spend on how you swing for each club in your bag. So you can spend on tempo at the expense on swing plane and not power. You can have a balance of all. So there will be different swing builds which is interesting. I notice ball lie also so assume the more you spend on this the better you can hit out of poor lies. Did you play TGC2 Ben?, that game was more swing plane base than tempo. It was from TGC 2019 that they upped tempo difficulty over swing plane. I do think TGCTours will be ok because they can monitor it, but I can see people using easier controllers to hit straight in society play and pile all their points into tempo. I do worry that there will be a grind to build your golfer to max potential. Some people just haven't got the time to play hours and hours to get to that point where they have a competitive golfer for society play. Had all TGC games but didn’t put the hours into the earlier versions. I only found this place with 2K19 which expanded the game for me. As for grinding I’m less worried about that than how the current swing/tri-click will mix. Will we end up with Societies having a mixture of swing types. Bad enough atm with those bloody mousers 🤣 HEY! I resemble that remark.

Round 3 Competitive? No, never, not in a gajillion years. Enjoyable? In a sadistic way, yes. Kinda what I deeply want in a pixel gawlf game, a challenge to shoot par or better. Onward!

Round 4 Even for the round and the toonamint. Enjoyed it because of my final score. Not many would, many want to be double digits under every round. Only a fraction can with these settings. Question is, do you please the masses or the masters? Onward.

Question is, do you please the masses or the masters? Onward. I think it was a tough set up Art and I think on something more CC level we’d be breaking par. But not a given. Personally I would sooner have this challenge than desperately trying to score 12 under every round. I didn’t enjoy the course massively as I felt the run offs from the greens were a little unfair (personal opinion) but the skill level setting was fine. You finished with a great question and a big dilemma for TGCT to address.

One for the sim guys that are interested, my first round at Linksland on master settings at Royal Troon. I don't use follow cam so you get a really good view of ball flight, much more enjoyable than checking if you've hit a white, grey or red. My putter was on fire on the front 9, back 9 more of a grind but my shot of the day was the scrambling pitch for par on 18 , this was a tough shot 19 yards ball below my feet in heavy rough that was very easy to make a mess of. 83% scrambling is a good stat with splash only allowed from bunkers.

This seems to be a minority opinion, but I've been really entertained with the challenge of the Master swing setting. For the first time playing the game Birdies felt like huge accomplishments and Pars on many holes felt like a huge relief. Under the Pro swing setting Birdies mostly feel like Pars, and Pars feel like Bogeys. I understand we're all at different skill levels and facing very different challenges depending on the system we're playing on; I simply wanted to voice what my experience has been through 2 rounds so far. For what it's worth I'm playing on a PS4 wired setup which seems to make a massive difference. I empathize with the frustrations voiced from the XBOX community and folks competing on lower Challenge Circuits. I'm not sure I could stick with the game if I felt there was no rhyme or reason to the tempos I was producing. I hope in the future there's true parity and performance between all the platforms so that issue can be resolved. I'm not sure if there's a solution that will make everyone happy moving forward with 2K23, but I trust the Admin team will weigh all the trade-offs and make the best decision they can. Thank you to them for all they do and providing us with such an entertaining outlet

Round 3
Green grids OFF Follow/scout cam used
(-1) thanks to a hole out on 18
0 very red fast 0 red fast 1 grey fast 27 Perfects 0 grey slow 11 red slow 2 very red slow (may have both been chips)
Tempo felt consistent, but I felt like I had to push forward faster/firmer than yesterday (round 2). 6 red slows and both (2) very red slows were in the first 6 holes. Birdies are always few and far between on Masters for me.

Birdies are always few and far between on Masters for me. Yeah this is the thing with Xbox. Tempo seems to change pace from time to time. I can play in the afternoon and it be fine as I expect it to be but play later on and for some reason I have to either push harder otherwise I get a tonne of slows or it's slower and I need to swing slower otherwise I get fasts and very fasts are easier. Something defo up with Xbox servers. As annoying as it can be, once I know what I'm playing with, I can adjust - this is why before I always start, I go to the practice area to see what it is like to adjust. I do find however a lot of the time I am flicking the stick which causes it so when I notice that, I try and make sure I hard stop at the top so it doesn't flick backwards. This seems to help. I do hope the new game makes sure tempo on Xbox is much more consistent.

Thank you for these tournaments, finally getting to play on the tours again and enjoying it! I'm one of the weird ones, yeah, I'd rather shoot +11 on master than -11 on pro.
And just like expected, after two rounds, I'm 799 out of 830something, at the bottom of the barrel.
but enjoying it, nice little thing to close this version of the game out, thank you!

I am playing on my Xbox Series X and I am also at the near bottom after 2 rounds, +22. That's embarassing but honest. I will get through it. My experience is I am hitting fast/slow with my woods, but my irons are the most accurate with my fast/slow tempo. I don't do well on master and not knowing what my tempo will be makes my shot target a guessing game. Hopefully this will help TGC Tours in figuring out what difficulty is best. My opinion is to go back to the difficulties they setup in 2k19.

62 and 61 for the final two rounds for me. Tempo was reasonable although it did feel a bit random towards the end of the last round. Picked up a bogey after a wedge shot somehow spun forwards off the green on 6 or 7, somewhere around there. Couldn't believe it. I'm still of the view that a difficulty in between the current pro and master would be ideal, whether they tweak it for the new game obviously remains to be seen.

A real welcome return to Master settings for me. The skill element of shot execution returns on every shot you make rather than on Pro settings where it felt impossible to miss a fairway and the game just became about being able to work out distance control from the fairway into the pin.
I finished up at -29 which I was quite happy with. More good shots than bad. A few poor bogeys but that comes with the pressure of having to execute your shot properly. I can't wait for 2k23 and as a previous post alluded to, probably somewhere between Pro and Master would be a decent test for most casual players in the new game. Let's hope there's some improvements and a level playing field across all platforms.

Doyley if the intent is to go back to Master difficulty, presumably with the current swing method, is there any consideration being give to offering a 3-click tour/society as an alternative option? Just asking.
