***2022 National Treasure Design Contest ***

So...now that the deadline has come and gone, do we have a full list of entrants, including the alts in the field? I know cd06 was collecting the full list on the other thread, but there haven't been any entries add to it in a couple weeks (July 2 was the last add).

Steve if you look at the first page of Charlie's thread it is updated.

I know Charlie was on a vacation in Ireland and going to some little course some guys were playing at so I bet he will finish when he returns.

It was Scotland, haha. But the list is updated. Just need to do the graphics for the last lot of courses

Judging is underway. All alternates are going to be included in the field! We ended up with 48 total courses this year.

Our goal is to make a first cut from 48 to 25 within the next two weeks by the end of the month. We will not host a reveal show for the top 25, but we will announce it here.

Then the plan is to get from 25 to a top 10. We will have a reveal show on Crazycanuck1985's twitch channel for the top 10. Then pretty quickly after that, we will reveal the top 5 and winners in another show after a week or two of further judging and discussions. So expect it to be wrapped up by mid to late August.

I really wish I didn’t have to rush my project to get it out (yet again! When will I learn) because I thought I might have a chance at doing well... but then I saw what other people have come out with and realised that it wouldn’t matter if I had another year to tweak mine! Fantastic work from everyone, can’t wait to dive into half a century of golf courses!

Congratulations to all the designers who submitted courses for this contest. I've thoroughly enjoyed playing them and I look forward to the next National Treasure contest (maybe I'll even throw my hat in the ring!).

I had more than a few favorites, but the overall winner for me would be Nausett Head by agrainger12. The scenery was ridiculously good and it truly felt like I had just played a round in Cape Cod, MA.

Congrats to everyone who published! Unfortunately I got caught with a heavy work schedule & moving which caused me to lose sight of/miss the publish deadline. Looking forward to playing all these awesome designs.

First cut has officially been completed. We are down to 30 courses. I know we said it would be 25, but the last 10 were really that close so we went ahead and made it 30. The next step will be to go from 30 to a top 10, which we will reveal on Crazycanuck1985 's twitch channel on August 20 or 21. Pretty quickly after that we will go from 10 to the stream where we reveal the winner. Should all be wrapped up by the end of August.

Keep your head up on this one. Enjoyed The golf here quite a bit and thought it was really a fun round. A lot of what I'd say needed improvement mainly revolves around familiarizing yourself with the designer a bit more and planting, which you will learn with time anyways. You already nailed the most important part
