Hehe, ye, you did mention g29 Ben. BUT, you also mentioned a wheel stand in the same sentence. And then my mind blanked out as i was interested in the wheel stand. And all i could notice and focus on was that wheel stand. And nothing but the wheel stand  Only when Paul posted his pic of what looks like a g29 the mist lifted. And i recalled of having to set the button visible on your pic to ps4. Or something Had a google look at wheel stands locally, nothing i can go and have a physical look at nearby. Bit pricey to buy without touching and shaking and pushing and prodding first. Will figure a way using my old pc stand to see how much the wheel adds to immersion compared to the ps controller, keeping in mind the ease of use of the controller vs something that clogs up the lounge. The man cave, can't clog that up. I live there!  This sentence sums it up completely. Do I spend 1200 bucks plus and clog up my study or do I stick with the controller? I'll persevere with the controller for a while - I'm lucky enough to have a PS5 so the enhanced controller hopefully will give me a more immersive experience than I've had with GT Sport. Just found out today that my son's getting the game also so maybe sometime in the future we can all race online together - that would be fun. |

I bought a Nacon controller with the same asymmetric sticks as the XB. Not TGCT legal I doubt but I don't use it for pixel golf! I meant to ask but got distracted by something shiny. I had a look at the Nacon site and some of their controllers with the offset sticks. It's hard to tell from the pics, but are they the same size and shape as and XBox controller? Or a ps4 shape and size with the sticks moved? If Xbox'ish that is certainly a step toward me considering this PS4 thing again. Or ideally a new PS5 IF the super loud fan noise is no longer an issue (need to do me some googling on that) I'd gladly snag a PS5 if there was no more fan noise and I could get an Xbox'ish controller. Non GT7 player injecting himself uninvited here but just to say I have the exact same setup as Ben. My actual wheel is the older model G27 I think. (dont remember) *mine is buried away*. The wheelstand pro is very strong and sturdy. Very heavy too. Thats why mine is put away, too much work for an oldie like me to dig out, hook up on a day to day basis. But if you decided to get one I don't think you would be disappointed with the quality. Shut up Tim. More than welcome here even if you can't be arsed to play the bloody game and/or are too tight to buy it!! Crazy Croc This is the stand. Not sure of the cost in your funny money and with 10 to 20 days delivery I presume it's delivered on a donkey....  They swipe turpentine under the donkey's tail for express delivery here! In local funny money terms R 9 000 equates to 2x new G29's. The product does appear to be quality but still hard for me to justify such an expense considering i do have the - less than ideal - option of using an old pc stand available. Alternative product i found for R2500 (sorry to post a link, don't know how to paste pics) This is clearly less quality and less durable and perhaps even less adjustable friendly but might be more convince-the-missus friendly. Edit.... Wheel Stand Pro at Amazon for $180. In funny money = R 2700 give or take. Ouch. No donkeys that side, they don't ship it this side. Maybe their donkeys can't swim Nitho Rs2

Cant wait for this, it'll probobly be my main game on ps5 apart from the golf ones, will be online midnight UK time, gtplanet does weekly time trials on the other gt games, im sure they'll be there for gt7.

Well I haven't planned this out to well, work on Friday and Saturday. Looks like I'll have to have a quick nap Thursday evening and set the alarm for just before midnight and have a couple hours of play and get a proper go Friday evening.
Seen a review on YouTube from someone who has been given a couple of days headstart from Sony and he says you have do a few races off line and gain some of the licences before you can go in the online lobbies. Looks good

Go figure! All this talk of wheel stands has got me thinking of buying one. My problem is my PS5 is in my bedroom connected to a 4K TV and I don't think I have enough room to set it up. So I think I'll be like Pete and use the enhanced PS5 controller to start with and maybe buy a wheel stand for my G29 wheel in the future. The added bonus is if I buy one, I'll be able to connect it to my PC also for all my driving games on it.

No plans to upgrade to PS5 here. I thought I was done with Playstation. PS4 will do.
But then again, I said I wasn't going to bother with GT7.... LOL
