I played my first TST tourney and had a blast! Missed the cut by quite a margin (-1 after 36, cut line @ -10) but I'll be back for more. I'm inspired to improve my putting without grid lines now. Art Vandelay, sorry to see you missed the cut by 1. It was the first name I noticed at the top of the list!

MachOne117, I appreciate the info. Sounds like you have to make the cut for the rounds to matter, so missing the cut (which is often) and not playing the last two rounds doesn't have an adverse affect on my ranking. Thanks again for the info.

Thanks again for the info. Surely TST has enough participation for a couple of flights, devisions or whatever TGCTours calls it. I know I mentioned this a long time ago when I was an admin. I am sure a lot people will lose interest if there is no chance of making the cut each week. I know it can be fun for some trying to make the cut each week but I doubt it is for those who have no chance. I think a second tier might get more playing.

Move back to Master and have a couple of divisions and I'm sold. Xboxers who can't compete and make cuts in the 1 division would happily compete in the lower division battling for promotion to the top division or in the top and battling to stay up. Give them something to compete for than just the 1 solitary cut line out there in the distance haha 😜

Glad to be back for a second season. I've played the course before and a couple of practice rounds, but started really slowly with 3 bogeys on the front nine. Various mistakes led to a 71. 2nd round I cleaned it up so I shot a 67. I think I need to get used to being more aggressive on approaches. It was fun this way - I do miss and still prefer master swing though - I deserved to be over par this week. Stunk on the par 5s too - so missed the cut in the first week but had a lot of fun.
Love that we played a real course and I hope that continues - great setup too.

Dear old and new TST enthusiasts, The first week of the new season is here! I hope you are as excited as we are and that we'll see many new players joining TST. Our first tournament is the Farmers Championship and, like the RL PGA Tour, we play at the Country Club of Jackson (CC of Jackson(L)). Now that you are all able to hit it straight , I have instructed the GreensKeeper at this week's course to NOT water the fairways and greens and mow them like a man possessed. Combined with some wind, this should result in some increasingly bouncy fairways and challenging greens as the week progresses. I'm curious to see what that'll mean for the scores. Do tell me if you feel the GreensKeeper and I overdid it... with you guys all improving so rapidly, hitting 'the sweet spot' when it comes to conditions is still a work in progress and your feedback is appreciated. I hope you'll enjoy the challenge and that many of you will play as many TST tournaments as possible in season 8. Make sure to score some FedEx points along the way, so that you'll qualify for the special events and playoffs later in the season. MachOne117 will get back to you with more details on that, as soon as he has been able to get his magical spreadsheets all brushed up. Have fun and good luck, Frans Special request here: could we have the name of our next week course with this opening report? Please! 🙃

A debut to remember. Followed up -13 at the cut with....-13 in round 3. 3 strokes better than anyone on PS. The ballstriking and putting were just on another level. Then I struggled in r4, missed a few too many tempos for no reason. But I clutched out eagle/bird/bird/bird at the end to get to -8. Just...incredible. I might even make a highlight video! Might sneak a top 10, though likely I'll drop a bit. Still! Awesome!

I was expecting a quick slide down the ranks after seeing round 3 conditions. Those are usually my killer.
It really is a new season, new me kind of situation where I fight back in the 3rd round from a triple bogey on the 2nd to come back with a -4, highlighted by an eagle on the 14th and dropping a 25 foot double breaker putt for a par save on the 18th.
Then some tempo worries and bad decisions on the last round, still fought it out to -2, sunk a 26 footer for birdie to end the week and leaving with a -21 final score, blackjack.
Over the moon doesn't even begin to describe the feeling. Easily the best week I've ever had, and I'm looking at the best finish I've ever had too. Never been in the top 50 in these regular events, only in an alt event where not all the best were in. It feels like a big time reward for all the struggles I've gone through on here, and my goodness has this week relit a fire in me that was slowly but surely being snuffed out.
Onto next week, cheers and good luck!
