When's the deadline for when the target must be met? The current season ends in late August for context. To me that would be the "end" to meet financial goals. Decisions from Staff are probably more than just a sole financial decision (attrition over time, etc. etc.), but that is just my one persons' opinion and nothing more. I don't know where their cutoff is in terms of willingness to move forward with another season because there is more to take into consideration outside of just $$$. But if it comes down to a financial decision in the end, eventually the masses would like to know this date if it is earlier than when the season ends if it comes to that. |

Haven't played here for a long long time (years) but just started TST again these past couple of weeks. Just donated $7 and will keep doing every month while I compete here on TST. Not a huge amount but times are pretty hard atm, cost me £98 to fill up my small van this morning  . |

With the struggle to meet the current goal, I don't see how it can be obtained long term without either some type of sponsorship and/or a membership fee. Obviously going the membership fee route brings other issues into play for the powers that be, so maybe they simply don't wish to go down that rabbit hole. Obviously a new game, and one that brings the platforms closer together, would help excite people about the game and maybe create a spike in donations, but how long would that last? I don't know if there is any cost involved in sending [mass] emails, but couldn't an email (or two) be sent out to all registered users letting them know of the situation and the need for donations to keep the site running? I get it that it shouldn't be too much to kindly ask members to donate $5-$10/ YR, but apparently it is. Which kind of has me wondering if a decision has already been made. |

If a decision had already been made to end after this season, we would definitely have the class to not accept further donations.
At this point, we're just over 3/4 of the way through the season and just over 3/4 of the way to our goal. I see no reason why we won't both make our goal and continue on for next season.

If a decision had already been made to end after this season, we would definitely have the class to not accept further donations. This is both a class response and also the reinforcement of my own belief that I have known over the years about the Staff that run this site for us. For over 7 years now if anyone didn't know. They have been taking on part (and especially most in the earlier years) of the cost year after year themselves... They have only publicly asked to be $$ neutral from the 2000 or so active players each week, no more. |

If everyone who played regularly even donated just $5 they would be way over that target already. I think it's a shame too. But, this community does always come through when they're asked to. |
